My T56 magnum is the close ratio version specifically designed for road racing (like the GT350) and has a 2.66 first. It would make a lot more sense to put a 2.66 or 2.97 (or similar) first gear ratio in this box since it is specifically designed for road racing.
You don't want to do burnouts with the car on a road course, you just want to get traction and get moving.

Jamal Hameedi did say that the transmission had "been modified fairly significantly to cope with the demands of the flat plane crank engine." Part of that could be a different gear set, hopefully. None of those gear sets really excite me for this car. All of those first gear ratios are too numerically high, especially with a 3.73 rear gear set, IMO.
