Just arrived in the mail. I found two minor flaws, but I do not believe it will be noticeable once installed. Waiting for some 3M adhesive promoter to arrive before putting on. Carbon core also seems to have my order numbers confused. I ordered a coin try as well, which the delivery says this was. I sent an email to try to rectify this.

Richard

Edit. I put the piece on. Fits well, looks good, minus one minor annoyance. The pattern does not flow with the OEM piece. I did not notice it even until I put it on. Previous photos showed it going in the same direction as the dash piece. I assume that their dash piece was not OEM.

Was the dash also Carboncore? If it is, then it's strange that the patterns go in different directions.

CF interior question. I'm trying to compare overlays versus replacement CF interiors. The overlays from thecarboncore.com look outstanding. Equally, the replacement parts from trufiber.com look fantastic. I also know thecarboncore.com is working on their own replacement pieces.

My question is, which is better assuming budget is not an issue? The overlays look great, are easy to install, and do not require dismantling the center console electronics etc. Overtime, will the overlays stay stuck on tightly and not start rattling, unsticking etc?

The replacement parts look super as well. I suppose there's also a bit of pride knowing that you have true replacements versus overlays. However, part of me also feels like the more you rip apart a new factory car, the more likely you are to have things not go back together as tightly & rattle-free.

What do you guys think? Really like any pros/cons of high quality overlays vs full-replacement components?

Thanks in advance for your help.
We've had over 1,000+ of our full interior kits installed on Mustangs, and have never heard a single issue of the adhesive loosening or the pieces rattling.

The reason that our products do not rattle is because they are molded to cup over the factory oem pieces and are so thin that even if attach some of the pieces with no adhesive, they still stick on pretty well with zero movement.

Better yet, with the adhesive, realistically, it is almost impossible to remove them after a day or two of being on the car. The only way to remove our pieces is by gently applying mild heat back and forth, while carefully pulling up, and even then, it is still extremely difficult to remove them.

Hence, the products will never, ever move or rattle, nor can they if they wanted to!

For anyone who would like to see these products being installed, we have multiple video creators who either have already posted or will be posting our interior kits on their vehicles shortly.

Goonzquad has a video already uploaded which you can view here:

Vehicle Virgins and Zander13 will also be uploading some amazing content within the next few days or weeks with our products as well.

I'm here to answer any questions.

Thanks so much, that's very helpful. I will also check out some of the new install content. Question, why are you guys going thru the trouble of producing replacements? Just curious. Thanks again.

Sorry, another question, do you guys have plans to make A-pillar overlays? Thanks

Feel free to ask as many questions as you’d like!

The reason we have been working on full replacement parts is due to a certain amount of our customers requesting them over the past two years or so.

However, these full replacement parts will likely be more than double the cost of our current overlay kits due to us first having to order the OEM interior pieces from the manufacturer, dismantling them, and redoing them in carbon fiber.

Some of the single pieces like for example the main dashboard price alone cost well above $600-$700 for us to purchase from Ford, so these replacement kits will all be custom orders for the certain customers that would like to spend the extra funds on them!

The reason we built our brand around overlays is because of how cost efficient they are, meaning we can give our customers a very fair price as we create the products purely from scratch and do not have to rely on OEM pieces.

As for the A-pillar overlays, we unfortunately do not currently have any being scanned or molded to produce, but I can most definitely forward this to our R&D team as a product suggestion!

Jack, please do. I think the A-pillars are so prominent visually, that they really would provide that "full carbon" effect to an interior. Thanks so much for all the information.

I'm about to pull the trigger on a CF hood.. Anderson..?
Any opinions on fit and quality.?
Any Easter discounts..?

For those that have fitted a CF hood.. I will use Latches, as recommended...
Do you see any Hood flutter at speed..? This is a track focussed car, so often reaching speeds of close to 150mph.

Not the exact same hood as you are interested in, but my Anderson hood fits better than the OEM did... Definitely needs pins or latches, you will definitely see a concerning amount of fluttering even just on a highway without them.

Anderson is way to go for the larger exterior parts IMO.

You have a concerning amount of fluttering with your Anderson hood? Or you mean without latches you will? Thanks

Hey Everyone,

I was asked to come on here as the rep for The Carbon Core and make the announcement that they will officially be changing the company name to Forgitec. This name change will take effect beginning tomorrow, May 29, 2022.

All of the current links posted online for TheCarbonCore.com will still lead to the same website, however, the name will be changed.

The company decided to make this name change after striking multiple partnerships with carbon fiber manufacturing facilities around the world, for example some being in Japan, Hong Kong, Los Angeles, Germany, and others in order to start producing bigger and better carbon fiber products for lots of different cars like for example the BMW M3 and M4, the Mustangs, and other cars.

This is just a heads up to any existing or any future CarbonCore customers!

You can expect to see tons of new interior and even exterior carbon parts coming over the next few weeks/months.

The new name/link will be Forgitec.com

Cheers
