Hi, my name is JD. I placed my order on 15JUN2021. I had to reorder in November 2021. I still do not have a car. (but I have a build date)

so, for the last year I’ve only seen a single Mach 1 in person, going the other way, a silver HP car.

ive avoided places where owners live/work. I’ve avoided dealerships that have one.

today I moved into my new apartment, new state, new job. My neighbor has an orange one.
It’ll be a tough wait now.

Makes me wonder if these cars sitting at rail yards wind up in a corner behind other cars....and its not easy to get them out...so they don't. I had a package being shipping last winter that sat in a post office lot for weeks as the trailer was buried behind many others...

So I think it’s pretty obvious that (despite not being late availability anymore) some colors and options are causing delays. I like to dig into post history when people talk about their long waits, and this is what I’m noticing is almost guaranteed a long wait: mischievous purple, eruption green, performance package, Mach 1

But there are still some people with relatively simple specs waiting a long time. I believe dealer is a major factor also. I see many people here go through the high volume dealers such as Granger for discounts. Obviously Ford cannot allocate all of their production to 1 single dealer, so when placing an order you need to weigh the pros and cons of waiting vs saving some money. This is all theoretical, I’d love to see more data on the correlation of wait time vs. dealer

Green and Purple didn't start building until mid-February, so definite delay there that was announced right away as late availability colors.

Order Atlas Blue GT with Recaros and Magneride on 13th December 2021, have had 6 build dates so far and still waiting so decided last week to place a order for a Mach 1 and see if that will arrive any quicker than my GT

sorry mate. Just not happening. At this point, I’m not sure any new M1 orders will get built. They’ve already got a 6month order backlog and only have 6 more months to make the HP cars.

I am in the UK and you could not order 22 Mach 1 until a couple of months ago , so it could be different for us, they have not even built one 22 Mach 1 for the UK yet, 1st ones are supposed to be built in June and going by Fords logic I have the same chance as someone who ordered a couple of months ago if you compare it to the GT production
But I have nothing to lose in ordering one and everything to gain

Well, with the leaked image that I'm assuming is genuine, I would say ordering a 22 was the right call so far. I'm sure it will grow on me, but I'm not digging it at first glance. I think it might be the headlights that aren't doing it for me. I actually like the rest of the bumper.

I kind of feel the same way. Maybe I will like it better in time, but for now I'm happy I have a 2022 on order.

I am considering cancelling or eventually trading in for the new car. I think it will look better. The interior certainly looks better than the current car.

The black pic is awful, confirms my worst fear that they’d try and merge styling with the Mach E and if my 22 order gets cancelled then I’m stuck with that.

Silver pic is nowhere near as bad, not my favorite but I could live with it if I absolutely had to. Agreed the headlights are the issue, but the 2021/2022 headlights aren’t perfect either.

I’m also hilariously colorblind so if either of those cars are actually different colors then please feel free to roast me lol

lol well since you mentioned it, the one car is actually dark blue!
