Dual injection took away any chance of making the Gen 3 a nice looking motor.

I feel the 2013-14 GT500s had the best looking motors since the 426 Hemi.

Nice tidy engine compartment.

I’m still rocking the Starship Enterprise cover :

But only because I can’t really decide what I like :frown:

As mentioned higher up, the Gen 3 is a bit messy under the cover, I suppose it’s kind of like getting a hot date, only to find out the lady garden is exactly as nature intended i.e. purposeful, but with a little bit too much going on and in desperate need of a makeover … :surprised:

At least ford were kind enough to give the 20’s a two tone cover :

Rather than the single colour of the 21+ … :frown:

This gen 3 looks sexy as hell. Granted it still needs wiring, but it's going into a 69 mustang.
I'd love this manifold and covers on my 18.

I figured MMR would be first on this. Nice first effort. I feel like there could be something more done w/ the direct injectors or whatever all that is on top, haha. I'm pretty new to direct injection. Like as in... this is my first one. Step in the right direction.

Needs taller covers like a 70 Hemi. It will cover more.

We're into the 5th year of Gen3 production and NOBODY has come up with an engine cover solution that looks better than the bat-wing monstrosity that the factory has on the engine?
That is the best solution cause lets be honest here.. the GEN 3 coyote is ugly AF haha.

YES!!! Love those cars and the engine bays.
My friend Mike had a 2014, that was heavily modded with just about 1,000HP. BEAST!

I always disliked the cover Ford puts on the Coyote, but I don't think I would pay for a replacement cover. Maybe that's why nobody makes a replacement. There's no demand. There are companies that make carbon fiber replacements for the car I have now, but I'm not paying $500 or more for one. I kind of like mine anyways.

I would remove mine, cause even the rat's of wires and tubes looks better than the huge cover IMO. However, I remember reading something somewhere that it's like that to help quiet down some of the ticking noise from the DI....No idea if it's true, kinda makes sense I guess...🤷‍♂️

Modern engines with fuel injectors and coil packs and sensors everywhere just aren't as pretty as older engines. I definitely get what you're saying though. This is just a mess.

Nobody looks under the hood any more, unless they have a reason to be there. You aren't going to impress anyone with a pretty plastic engine cover and a K&N air filter.
