CAINot a lot but... Is there any way to get 10-20 hp more without voiding the warranty?
I would skip the intake doesn’t do anything.is a CAI worthwhile without a tune? Would I need to go back to the stock intake for warranty work?
No, not really. You’re not going to feel 10HP. It’s a number on a piece of paper. It is also a gross number so maybe 5 HP at the wheels. A total non issue.is a CAI worthwhile without a tune? Would I need to go back to the stock intake for warranty work?
And big tires too.NOS stickers will gain that back easily.
18+ intake flows fine and keeps iats down. Open element intake just gonna increase iats with no real performance gain, especially with no tune.
It would help to reduce your track time due to the reduction in unsprung weight but it would in no way increase horsepower. You would need to modify the engine to do that.could put on some lighter weight wheels and tires and brake rotors to gain back some whp
It would increase whp, meaning putting more power down to the wheel due to less parasitic loss. Things like lighter wheels, lighter brake rotors, lighter drive shaft etc all will increase whp because of this. It would not increase crank hp but when discussing measuring power we are typically not talking crank numbers but rather usable whp / rwhp.It would help to reduce your track time due to the reduction in unsprung weight but it would in no way increase horsepower. That’s just as much gain as a CAINOS stickers will gain that back easily.
But the 10HP drop is at the crank. At the rear wheels we’re talking 5-6HP. There is no justification for throwing money at mods thinking that’s going to make a difference. @ICU812 is spot on. That 10HP drop is meaningless once you’re behind the wheel. It would increase whp, meaning putting more power down to the wheel due to less parasitic loss. Most newer sporty cars, when on the rollers, post higher than rated, power. So even IF the '22's are down 10. but reality still make at least the '21 RATED power, did it lose power from the rated? or just the wiggle room the oem's tend to give themselves, So reports don't start showing up that they don't make the rated power. like say the early 2000's Cobras. But the 10HP drop is at the crank.
