Here’s a new one.

2019 GT manual with 6k miles on it. After a cold start and puttering around the neighborhood at slow speeds in 1st and 2nd, letting off the throttle while in gear produces an audible rattle/buzz noise for about .5 to 1 seconds. I can’t tell exactly where it’s coming from.

The car drives normally and the issue seems to go away in a few minutes.
Something to do with the clutch/flywheel maybe?

Any ideas or similar experiences?

Hold into the reverse lockout collar and see if the noise clears up. My collar rattles against the shifter knob, but I only notice it during the mid to high rpm range.

Thanks for that - but I should clarify - it’s coming from outside the cabin/under the car somewhere.

Its normal, this car produces alot of strange noises and everytime i take to the dealership they say its normal. I also have noises when i switch on the AC which none of my friends owning a mustang has and yet dealership say its absolutely normal. So enjoy driving this pony without caring too much 🔥

It’s not a normal sound - I’m aware of the coyote noises these motors make. It’s also brand new.

And I don’t think it’s that plate. Those threads are reporting the rattle at higher RPMs and warm. I’m having the issue only when cold.

Thanks for the responses so far.

Do you have active exhaustt? There's also a thread about a spring or something being loose.

No but I do have a Borla S Type. Pro installed at a great Mustang/Corvette shop with no issues to date.
