I don't really have any place "dust free" to do this. I don't want to throw $350 down the hole trying to do it myself. You should see me with Cell phone screen protectors...Clean your car real well. I suggest washing the whole car to prevent any stray particles from getting under the wrap. That stuff is very staticy.

It shouldn't cost you but about $150 for the vinyl, knifeless tape and the few other supplies you'll need. A garage would much it go a lot smoother for sure. Best thing about using vinyl wrap is you can make the stripes the size you want. Even follow the lines on the car. Thanks guys for all the responses. It's been a busy day and I didn't get the chance to call the shop before they closed. I'll do that tomorrow. Once I confirm that the shop will do stripes I buy from somewhere else I'll place my order.
I realize these aren't all that hard to do but see this right here sticks out to me:

I think I might be better off having someone else do it. Of course if its something like $800 to apply the decals then.... well, I'll end up doing it myself. I'm sure you'll see me on here with my next awesome thread titled: "Stripes - how do I get them off and where did I go wrong?"
Gratuitous dealer pic from today when my buddy picked it up for me. Putting it on the showroom floor was a nice touch. I cant wait to get to NY and see it in person!!

WOW.... A grand?? Yeah I'll just end up doing it myself if that is the case. Maybe I can get the Missus to help out. She is more patient with these things than I am and far more artistic. No one wanted to install my stripes obtained elsewhere and local prices were all over $1K in SEATTLE... Did it myself, twice now. It's not too hard.
Hey thanks man, I appreciate that. It's the one thing that makes forums like this tough. Everyone is so spaced out. It's cool in a way, but in situations like this, not so much.If you were in my area, I'd help you.
Why not post in your local section. Lots of members in VA. Bet you can find someone to help.WOW.... A grand?? Yeah I'll just end up doing it myself if that is the case. Maybe I can get the Missus to help out. She is more patient with these things than I am and far more artistic.

Hahaha... I haven't been around here all that much. That would require me to look for the local section! Why not post in your local section. Lots of members in VA. Bet you can find someone to help.

Cool! Please post up some pics when completed.I just spoke with a local shop that had done some paint work for me a while back on the hood of my '13. He said if I get the stripes they can definitely put them on and it would be about $250-$300. I'm going to order the stripes today and hopefully get them installed in the next week or so. Guess I should have called there first!
Probably too late in the game, but they may have been able to add them prior to delivery. You may want to check still and you can pick it up exactly the way you want it. Good call on the stripes though, they do set the black car off nicely. I'm going to keep my main black stripe, but going to switch out the flanking side pinstripes from black to silver in the near future. Make it yours man!Unfortunately I won't be able to do that. I'm in VA and the car is in NY. My buddy spotted this car for me and it just so happens I am going to be up there this weekend for a funeral service.
Essentially the stars just kind of lined up on this one...
Didn’t you mention this in post #13?Probably too late in the game, but they may have been able to add them prior to delivery. Any auto graphics shop can handle thisI finally found a GT Premium to replace my 15 that a tree branch fell on and totalled. I wasn't real keen on it at first because it was black with the Black accent package (which is monotone as hell) but then I came across this and thought OK, That breaks it up a bit and I like it a lot:

Now before anyone says it, YES, I realize that's a shelby anfd I'm not going to have the cool hood and fenders. I Totally dig the Carbon Fiber stripes with the red on the outer edges though.
The question I have is... Who installs this? Do I just go to a body shop, a place that does car wraps or..... What?
I'm picking it Up on Friday and I am totally STOKED to be getting back in the Driver's seat after 2 months without mine. Can't wait to get it all striped up!
