Why DIDN'T you get a camaro?

It's called being able to get your door open. I tried nosing the Mustang in and found myself twisting my back to get out. The exhaust is no issue. Start it, and pull right out.

im jealous.....your garage is empty! I remember those days. My son was just a year away from driving and I was able to pull my new 06 GT into the garage. Fast forward two years.....he took it over!

My garage is a very minor wannabe auto/bicycle/wood/shop and lawn tool shed. Being that's it's actually a 1.5 car garage with 2 doors, the mustang does have some room.

Actually going to be changing up the door. There's plenty of space to either side, it's the single 16ft. door that's the issue. Converting to dual nine-footers will allow both cars to nose in. As it is, both come in as far apart as possible without clipping the mirrors. No, I'm not folding the mirrors to pull in. I'd much rather spend 1000's on a new set of doors than vaguely inconvenience myself

Yeah I have dual doors and still no way I see 2 cars being in there without dings and such. Soooo I removed the option before it could even be a thing by building a work bench and placing lawn mower and crap in the space. Her car lives outside and she's totally fine with it.

I watched my SIL crash and scrape the side of a car just pulling straight in/out of a garage space. Car outside probably spares you all kinds of expense and prevents fights over the inability to drive.

When I put new axle backs on I started the car with the garage door closed and the wife sleeping in the room right above the garage. My test drive then lasted long enough for her to not want to throw a night stand at me.

Is it your choice to make the wife sleep above the garage or did you really screw up?

I had owned nothing but Japanese cars, as I approached 40, I had the urge for something legit fast. I cross shopped a lot of different cars, but when it came to the Camaro v Mustang, the interior had a lot to do with it. The Mustang was just a nicer place to be for me personally.

My GT is my daily, so I don't care that it might be theoretically faster or slower than some other car. Also... just look at it.

My last 6 were Japanese. Last 3 were Infiniti G37x Coupes. Almost went for the Lexus RC-F and that is the best attempt yet at a Muscle Car from Japan. But the brake job cost even with DIY was simply insane. I didn't need two car payments, one for the car and one for the brakes! They even recommend new rotors at every pad change! I probably wouldn't have, but that's what is "required." I mean if someone gave me a new NSX I could probably deal with it... but quite loving the pure Merica experience!

Master bedroom right above the garage. I have to wait for her to get up before I do my morning workout beating the hell out of the heavy bag. I guess it shakes the floor of the bedroom quite a bit. They just don't make houses like they used too I guess. Funny till the bedroom falls on me....as if I could ever make that happen hahaha.

The Mustang and Camaro are both parked in the garage. No worries, they get along fine. However, I am the only one allowed to pull cars into or out of the garage.

just land a punch on your way out the bed - or push her off the edge onto the floor. SHow her who's boss.

you might try suspending the bag on rubber cords or springs - might make it harder to hit though. Or maybe just do the bag bashing when you get to the Base after a stressful commute?

This might offend some...but I feel the styling of the current Camaro, ever since it was resurrected, has not been great. The interior has never been great either, from some weird placement of vents and touchscreen to just not being able to see out of it very well. That said, the performance is impossible to deny. The Camaro outperforms the Mustang seemingly 90% of the time or more. It's achievements are extremely impressive. But to me the Mustang is better looking and just has the nostalgic appeal.

I agree. I liked the look of the 16-18 models better and for some reason the previous gen is looking better to me now than it did when they came out. I think its because they looked more old school and one of the reasons I'm thinking of getting a Challenger. I did like my 16GT better than the 14 I had too, but I'm now digging the older style more in the stang too.

M/W/F after work so no big deal. Resistance bands the other 2 days. Weekend is extra credit but usually on Sunday when the car is out for the weekly washing. For some reason she thinks she needs to sleep till the pm hours on Sunday... Currently using chains wrapped with tape to quiet it down. Spring would probably help. Bags on post are terrible and I'm only a few months back at it after a 10 year break so my form is nonexistent. Can't have some punk 20 year olds showing me up all the time haha!

I like the 2016-18 look best, but I would have preferred the later model hoods with the single big scoop in the middle to the twin extractors.

Sounds like a lot of work. The most I can muster is 2-3 hours a week. I put my heavy bag and speed bag in the basement years ago, probably should have left the speed bag out.
