Has anyone ordered a Mach 1 yet

This week I've been trying to order an M1 and all the dealers here in San Diego want between $5k and $10k over MSRP! Did any of you have to pay a premium?

Hell no.
Do yourself a favor and message @Zach@Granger and get one ordered that way. Don’t even waste your time shopping locally.

I ordered locally back in February and paid MSRP but got 1k more on my 2017 trade in than I expected. Used same dealer and salesperson on the 2017.
With the shortage of new cars this is not a good time to place an order unless you want to deal with out of state, Zack in Iowa, but then have to arrange for shipping or going there.

Correct, see this post. Many of us on here have ordered through Zach (2% under invoice). Some are driving back from Iowa and others are having their car shipped. You might can try getting your local dealer to match Granger Ford's price (some have had success), but make sure you get it in writing.

In San Diego this week with a rented mustang convertible.

Such an amazing drive and the feel of the car with the top down is absolutely out of this world. For California roads, the convertible feels super cool.

After ALMOST getting a GT PP2 a year and a half ago ....

I've done it now lol, the right model has come along, the Mach 1 w Handling Package.

An update on my factory order:
Ordered 3/31, delivery date has gone from 6/28 -> 7/5 -> 7/14 -> Delivery Est. N/A. The Ford tracker website was updated today showing that my order is "In Production". I called Ford Performance and my build date is July 9th.

No, this is not a Handling Package equipped car.

Ford tracker website was updated.
In Production status has a date of 7/7/2021, Delivery Est changed from N/A to 8/20/2021.

@dethmaShine FYI - looks like the estimates we made earlier are correct.
