I used to live in Elgin when I was back in firat grade, so 45 years ago. Haven't been back to Elgin in quite some time. But, we have been back to Chicago. Love me some Heaven on 7 gumbo!

The best thing about going to the Consumer Electronics Show back in the day. Eating at all the top restaurants that I couldn't afford to go to on my $$.

Chicago’s Auto Show, the Chicago RV Show and the Chicago Boat Shows are pretty good as well.

It might take me 4 hours to mow the yard, but I can drink my coffee on my deck in my underwear, site in my 7mm, or shoot the coons and opossums with one of my 9’s for eating the cat food without any worries. I can’t imagine it any other way.

And, the neighbors are quiet too.

Current climate of social system doesn't want prosecutions of minor offenses, etc.. fill in your own blanks, so not to get polictical.

Targets in San Francisco are closing stores earlier, and some all together. I'm sure there are many other stores doing the same. Seattle has empty stores downtown. Just one big social experiment.

Stores that have been in Seattle for decades have been forced to close due to wanton crime. Criminals just walk in to stores and take stuff. You are lucky if the cops arrive a few hours later to take a report.
