Any competent exhaust shop can make those 3" cats work.
thanks, I’ll have to locate some, so far I’m only seeing catts for long tubes.

@Kingofhearts is the car tuned yet? If budget is a consideration you'll get vastly greater bang for buck from tuning a 15 than you will from headers.
Yeah I’m tuned, 93 and E85

Would be really interesting to get a dyno run before and after modifying the stock exhaust as shown. Not sure if anyone has done that yet.

If you wanna make horsepower & pass emission, HJS universal cats are the way to go.

I wish it could be me to help out in this area, I’m not close to any dynos.

Thanks m8, I’ll look into both routes ( headers or hi flow cats) to see which option would be great for me.

Personally would go straight to the ported 18+. The gains would be massive compared to the exhaust route. The sound will make it sound faster though.
Lol trust me, I’m buying that next month lol.

The oxygen sensor bung on that bbk is welded in the wrong position. Its going to kill the wideband o2s lol

If you like to rev the engine.
I believe stock reb limiter is around 6.5k right? I barely touch that. If ever. Even on my longer highway pulls, I’m normally done by the time I get to 6k

Yes Sir. With a x/h-pipe make sure the opening on the inside is well defined. I've seen H-pipes that the hole wasn't even a inch across. For cats, 3" in/out minimum, and get rid of anything else that necks down.
Unless your entire exhaust system is 3 in all the way to the tips then 2 1/2 is fine.

Stock is 7000, if you go to the 18 mani you will need to spin it to 7400 to see any results.
