Good god, that’s crazy! One of my leases is coming up. I called my salesman who told me that they normally have 800 cars on the lot. Today, they only had 26
That he had no idea if that car was going to be built this year. He said I could wait but likely would take a long time. So, I moved on.what did your dealer tell you about a delivery date before you canceled your order ?
MY local Ford dealer is out of stangs and has about 5 total cars. Unbelievable this is happening .One of my leases is coming up. I called my salesman who told me that they normally have 800 cars on the lot. Today, they only had 26
The good news is that I can buy the car out from the lease and sell it to vroom for a $4k profit....MY local Ford dealer is out of stangs and has about 5 total cars. Unbelievable this is happening .
Have you used Vroom before? I just recently sold a car to Shift and had an excellent experience. I am now in the process of trying to sell 2 more cars to Vroom and its been crickets ever since I uploaded all the requested documents a few days ago. I've called and emailed and all I get is "we are still processing your paperwork." The only reason I went with them is because they offered far more (several thousand) compared to the other car buyers but if this is how the experience is out of the gate, I'm a little worried how it may go further into the process after I mail them the titles along with them picking up my cars...! Most reviews are good but there are a few horror stories out there as well. The good news is that I can buy the car out from the lease and sell it to vroom for a $4k profit....
Glad to hear its going smoothly for you. I guess I just need to be a little more patient as I am sure they are slammed with many others trying to sell them their car. They have physical locations here in Texas where you can go sell your car in person but unfortunately I am several hundred miles away, otherwise I would totally go that route.I'm selling my GT to Vroom, everything has been going smoothly so far no long delays or anything. I sent the initial request in on this past Sunday and within the week all the paper work is done and they are going to schedule a pick up for next week.
Yeah I hate to do it, and have second guessed myself several times, but I'm coming out 8k more than what trade in value was. Extra money to put down toward a 500, but hardly any availability for one at msrp.Glad to hear its going smoothly for you. YUp. This is why my advice is to find one that is already built in a dealer stock and swoop it up because you’re gonna be waiting a long time otherwise .. honestly who wants to have the GT 500 delivered in the winter ?*in related news - I went to my Toyota dealership yesterday to get a couple of parts for my Tundra... they had exactly 0 new Tundras or Tacomas on their lot. As a matter of fact - they had about 30 new cars total - the rest were all used trades... This is a dealership where you used to go and the exact car you wanted - in the color you wanted - was on their lot... in duplicate...
This chip shortage is gonna have a very long tail across the auto industry... like - wow.
If you want a GT500 this year - IMHO $5K over is a freakin steal at this point.
