Planning on putting the temp sensor in the intake. Pic shows the vac fitting (the larger one) I am trying to remove. Is it threaded or press fit. I've tried twisting it some but don't want to break it.

The PCV hose that connects to the intake? Why wouldn’t you just mount it in the intake pipe before the throttle body?

Trying to let the water meth mix in the air charge first.

I put my IAT for the meth system in the #8 intake runner. Pretty easy job. Just pop the intake off and get the correct tap. Tuner told me this is the preferred place because it's furthest away from the TB.

If it has to come off I'll do this.

I had mine off to do the IMRC delete's so it was a no brainer. Good luck!

Trunk done, gauge done, wiring done, nozzle done, just have to drill and tap, waiting for Amazon. Hopefully it goes well as I am so close to finishing this. Probably not though if things go as usual.

Took it slow, drilled up, tapped it, threaded it, hopefully holds pressure.
Need to clean up wires.

It will hold as much psi as the intake. The reason not to put the sensor in the runner is because the material is very thin so you only get 1 or 2 threads. There’s a much higher chance of the sensor blowing out. The vacuum port is very thick. Lots of material to tap.

Are you using water/meth for octane or cooling?

Cooling only, E85. Back half of a run got to 160+ IATs pulled 5 degrees. It is hot in Texas, I probably didn't help myself by not cooling long enough, idling to long, and so on. I have since gone to 170 tstat, removed hood liner and engine cover. This will be hot months only. I made the mount in the trunk removable, where everything comes out as one piece and the wires have plugs.

You have the nozzle as far away from the throttle body as you can safely put it, Like right after the intercooler? So it has as much time to cool as possible. Do you have a solenoid installed? What size nozzle?

Unfortunately with the vortech I was limited on placement without a ton of changes. It is about 3" post MAF, which is about a foot maybe a little more prior to the throttle body. Yes to solenoid. Going to start with a 9 nozzle to see if it is enough and bought a 10 as well.

Move the maf to before the intercooler with the breakout harness then the nozzle at the exit of the intercooler.
did you buy or build a break out harness?

I did buy a break out harness. It will take some mods to get it pre intercooler. I need to think about how to do it. Going to try this and see if it works at all for lower IATs first. My diff is out, getting it looked at due to some serious whine. When that gets back it will be ready for some testing. Agree though I need to try to move it further up stream.
