What I meant is that I have 305/30 / 19 square set up. It makes a difference turning in at speed. My Brembo's do bite better on threshold braking.

I run 285/30/20, 305/30/20, but when I next get new tires I’m upping the back to 315.

Are your brakes stock?

Sounds like the 1LE was factory tune which gets noticeably breathless and doesn't pull clean. Neither did the Coyote. Unleashed Tuning to the rescue on both fronts.

Did you play with the available 4 sub-modes under Sport on the SS?

No. The head engineer at the race school (GM trained) set up all the cars in their driving modes. Given it was an advanced race school taught by factory Porsche drivers, I know most nanny systems were turned off. I run my PP2 at this track in track-only mode with all nanny systems turned off, save for ABS. I like it raw, old school.

If he drove a 1LE then Track is where his sub modes would be and there are more than 4 of them. The 1LE comes with Recaros so not sure why he said the Recaros were more comfortable given both cars have them.

The only Mustang with comparable brakes to a 1LE is a GT500 so that comment and the others, makes me wonder if it was the SS, the same for the tires. A 1LE comes with 285/30/20 in front and 305/30/20 in back. I am unaware of any new stock Mustang with bigger tires, so frankly I don’t find Porsche Dudes comment credible.

Here in Canada, the ZL1 is the corvette engine powered Camaro, the 1LE has the smaller displacement. I wanted to learn in a car as close to my PP2 as I could get. I am not really familiar with GM cars.

They’re different engines here too, but not different displacement, both 6.2, the ZL1 has upgraded internals and is supercharged. Mine has 455/455 stock.

absolutely. Change in CoG allows weight transfer and thus grip. The Camaro auto-adjusts forward under braking, backwards during accelleration.

I just did a race school in a brand new Camaro 1LE, and a ZL1. I currently track a 2019 Mustang GT PP2 with Recaro's and have added a diff cooler and a Ford Performance Tune.
The Camaro has an unnatural drivers seat sitting when you have a helmet on and your neck is pushed forward a couple of inches, so I had to play with the seat rake to get a suitable seating but it still bothered my neck. The Recaro's are more comfortable with a helmet on.
The shifter for the 6 speed was a lot sloppier than the stock one in the PP2.
The electronics in the Camaro does take some getting used to, especially traction control.
The brakes did not work as well as the Brembo's on the Mustang.
The tires on the Camaro were smaller than the PP2 but the rubber was those new F1 Goodyears and offered plenty of grip.
There is more power in my PP2, especially low end torque.
The ZL1 has a monster engine with torque converter paddle shifters and a little lag, but it is very quick on acceleration.
One huge difference between the cars is the suspension. When you put the PP2 in sport or track only mode, the suspension adjusts to incrementally harder settings, and is better on the track. I have tried my best to be objective here, but I am happy I chose the PP2 over the Camaro.

I’ll be a little more specific. The shifter in the Camaro is more than fine but the shape and feel of the shift knob sucks royally. Easily one of the worse features of the Camaro but luckily the below fix was only $75.

I can see where you’re coming from with most of your points but this, “There is more power in my PP2, especially low end torque.” Come on...you can’t be serious with that point.

I thought a C8 was a McLaren from a distance the other day. That's the problem with the styling. It doesn't look bad, it just blurs into every other mid-engine car.

I thought the styling was amazing at first. After seeing more and more around town, for me it’s not so amazing.

However, I do still feel it’s 100x better than the C7.

I don’t mind the front end, but the rear quarter to back end is horrendous IMO. Looks squashed.

I almost pulled the trigger on an 18 SS a couple summers ago. I loved the color and the look (the front end was much better then), but I wanted a different color interior besides black and what really turned me off was the tiny trunk opening since it would be a daily driver for me.
