The reason it cuts off on the dyno is because it hits the 155 mph speed limiter in 7th gear. Many tuners eliminate the 155 limiter. The Roush tune does not. Maximum HP dyno numbers for Roush are somewhat understated because of this.

That’s a strange looking dyno “curve”. I suspect something abnormal is going on there but don’t have enough information to know what.

Edit: It looks a lot like a load or torque limiter is active.

Edit: Is this the phase 1 calibration?

The new tune released today should improve those numbers nicely.

it is strange, thats like, pure linear, power isn't really made like that, not that perfectly angular imo, ive never seen a straight chart like that. it usually is a curve slope, up down, etc.

I am not a pro, but it is odd to me looking, versus other dyno charts I see

I could be wrong though.

I mean, if its perfectly linear like that, thats dope, that means its perfectly raising without any dips really. even on my motorcycles, it has a slope either up or down.

sounds like Roush is giving customers some free power, is the update free? I know ford perf ones are, when they make adjustments, you can reflash the flash

My Dealer Rep said the update was free but I'll find out when I call the Ford Delaer and make an appointment. It damn well better be. The car is 9 days old.

I believe its free. ford perf ones are, and I assume they want to be competitive with each other, and its not just for power, ford perf updated ecoboost tune to remove a power dip in the initial selling of the tune, and they probably adjust them for safety reasons. cant see them charging for a tune update, that it should of been from get go.

It would be a kinda neat if it were real but.... none of the roush curves look like that. The torque is down 100+ ftlb.

I can tune any mustang for a flat torque curve like that; it’s super easy to do. But you leave torque on the table when you do that.

That’s about what it might look like if the LSPI load limit kicks in at 160 charge temp.
