What kind of intake temps are you guys seeing at the track? Mine were 84 degrees at the start of the run and by the end got all the way to 190. The ambient air temp was mid 70s. Seems like a ton of heat pretty quickly. I am pretty sure I know why, just curious what you guys are seeing.

Did your A/A intercooler fall off? I would think you should see no more than 145-150°F crossing the stripe.

It has 3.5 inlets, I assume it's the stage 2. Don't mind the food next to the intercooler. I am remodeling my kitchen so all that shiz is in my garage. lol. I just checked the log and it actually reached 194 crossing the line.

Im almost 100% sure it's the hot side plumbing. The outlet hose makes a sharp 90 and is definitely flow restricted. The guy I bought it from put the race value right at the exit of the blower. The rubber was literally melted inside, so I assume that's the issue.

100deg gain over ambient can be seen on that setup when turned up. This is of course over the duration of the pass. 75deg ambient and 175 across the stripe. A few things can reduce iat temps such as increased airflow thru IC, bring cooler air into blower inlet and eliminating or increase the diameter of the blower outlet tube. You are pulling in alot of hot air from the bay with open blower. Fab up a heat shield like i did a few years ago. That will help.

Previous Procharger experience with their vertical flow intercoolers. This is also based on a cooled down run. Not back to back runs.

What head unit and what kind of power was the combo making? Those lower temps you mentioned is achievable at 1000hp like we are talking, but will need a larger intercooler than the stage 2.

D1SC @ 720whp on the stage 2 IC. Never seen over 165°, and usually under 150° after a pass. WOT reading, not after let off.

Seems about right. OP has at least 200hp on you, so his temps obviously higher
