So does the dark mode forscan tweak work with the 2018+ Mustangs? I changed the value in BCM 726-32-01 from xxxx x0xx xxxx to xxxx x1xx xxxx and it doesn't seem to be doing anything when I turn off the car/open the doors. The interior lights still come on. Any ideas?

I did also change the double honk with keys out of the car and that one seems to be working correctly, but not the interior lights one.

I just went through this on my 19. You have to change something else too.

Change this::: 726-58-02 :: 0000-0000-0087
Into this::: 726-58-02 :: 0101-0101-0187
Thanks for the info. Yeah I found about the extra silent mode switch shortly after posting this thread too, but I appreciate it.

So what exactly this 'dark mode' does? I don't like not being able to turn the damn roof lights off, but don't want them permanently off either. Curious what's the deal with the 'dark mode' change :). Thx.

It’s basically like a police/stealth mode. So when you unlock the car or turn off the car, the interior lights will not come on (other than the mycolor lights if you have that enabled.) Also, the outside headlights/taillights won’t turn on either when you use your key fob to unlock/lock the car. That applies to when you turn off the car at night and you had those few seconds where the headlights stay on. With dark mode, it goes dark the second you turn your car off. Another change is when you lock the car and you had your taillights flash and the car honk on a double press of lock, those are both off/silent now. And the last change I can think of is the pony lights on the puddle lamps are deactivated. I kind of wish we could choose to enable that again cause I think it’s a nice little touch that’s not obtrusive, but all of it gets disabled with dark mode and silent mode.

Edit - oh and even with dark mode disabling the automatic interior lights from coming on, you can still enable them whenever you want. It’s just now you get the choice instead of it turning on and not being able to turn off for whatever period of time.

This is news to me. How do you toggle it on and off? Are you just saying you can turn the map lights on and off manually?

Yeah sorry that's all I meant. I mean to say that even though the interior lights won't come on automatically when you turn on/off the car, you can still push the little button on the lights and they come on manually if you want.

Thanks. I'll leave them stock. I just wish there was an on-off button to turn off the interior lights; that's all. Basically all freaking cars have that feature. Turning everything off, like you explained, is a bit extreme. Ha ha.

Mine used to have a setting under lights and locks to disable auto interior lights then ford updated the sync and it was disabled.

I know this is an old thread, but the dome light thing is really bothering me. That setting may still be available, using Forscan. There are a lot of menu options that can be displayed in the instrument cluster that are disabled. For instance, I was able to enable the Launch Control menu item in my Track Apps. It works and I can go through the process of checking it and choosing an RPM limit. But, no transbrake, so it doesn't actually work. The point is that maybe that option is still present to be enabled and maybe it'll work. I'll check it out tomorrow and report back.

Any idea what the dark mode codes for 2022 might be?

726-58-02 is : 0002-0002-008B
So that's not the same value and I'm hesitant to try it.

However, the value right before it looks pretty similar so maybe that's it?
726-58-01 : 0000-0000-0086

I don't want to brick anything or mess any systems up, if you had any ideas for the 22 codes I'm tired of these damn interior lights not turning off.

Instead of going in the AS BUILT click the other option. This is the new setup it is more of an enable and disable style and has a ton of stuff.. take a peek and see if you can enable it through here instead of doing spreadsheet style.
