I have a '20 GT. I've been reading several conflicting things about the need for injectors/BAP. Some websites/forums say that you have to have 1000cc injectors. Others say that because the car has 2 sets of injectors (Direct and port) it's fine up to about 700HP to leave them stock. Same for E85.

Could anyone shine some light on this for me? I don't want to take the cheap way out, but I also don't want to waste money. Palm Beach Dyno and Procharger both told me their tunes would work on stock injectors, but I've ran into others that were adamant for the need to change them out for 1000cc injectors and a BAP.

A complete stock fuel system will support about 650 rwhp on 93 on a gen 3. It makes sense to at least replace the low side injectors though. On e85 you'll want to upgrade the fuel system. It's never a good idea to run a fuel system with no overhead.

The best way to not waste money, is to let your tuner know your budget and goals. Ask multiple tuners, if you have not made a final choice yet and see which one gives you the best guidance. Then buy exactly what they say to. It doesn't have to be from who they say, you can shop around and save money on this step. This is why you paid them, whatever it is now, 750$?, you paid more for their expertise for you to reach your goal, not just a tune you load into your car.

You will certainly waste money if you buy parts, then go to them and say tune this combo and make me achieve x goal, and it turns out you needed other/more/less parts. Comparing what different people say is needed, doesn't mean anything. Tuners don't all have the same strategy to achieve a goal for someone.

Don't 1/2 ass your car. get a return style fuel system, ID 1050x or bigger injectors, and any forced induction kit you like (Procharger and Whipple are the best out there by a mile). Then you buy once, cry once and enjoy lots of smiles per gallon while living happily ever after

A bap and larger injectors yes. Stock port injectors and a bap struggle at even 650 rwhp on 93.
On a gen3 no. You’re doing something wrong. I’ll make sure and tell people I know making 750whp to stop because they can’t no matter what the dyno says. I can show you a video of one

I'm at 750 wheel hp with stock fuel pump lines and a bap, but that's the limit. I have id-1050 x injectors, but I'm on the stock pulley (4.88) on my D1x. I have a Fore dual pump fuel system waiting at home to be installed so I can pulley down to a 4.50..looking to do so when the weather here changes..

The gen2 fuel system is very different than the gen3's. We have port + direct injectors for a total of 16. That's definitely what I'd have to do for big power, but this is just a cruising/meets weekend car. Sounds like an awesome setup though!

I have already done this on a gen 3 myself. Stock 28lb gen 3 injectors can not do 750 rwhp safely with just a bap on 93. You are giving out incorrect information. I dont need to see video, this is what I do. With larger injectors yes 750 rwhp on 93 is doable with just a bap. The OP was asking the limits of the complete stock fuel system though.

I dont understand why everyone is trying to run a fuel system way past its potential it just makes no sense. A fuel system is not something you try to run at 110 percent with a pressure drop. One cool day and you're done. You should allow for plenty of overhead on a fuel system.
