Folks I'm not posting this for any sort of accolade's , I know many of you have nicer and more well equipped S550's than mine but a couple of ATTABOY'S wouldn't hurt. I started out about 2 moths ago to attempt to bring my GT Premium up to something similar Performance Pack Level 1 and then some.
I have installed:

  • Ford Performance Street Handling Suspension Pack
  • Ford Performance X pipe/ resonator delete kit
  • Ford Performance Super 8.8 Loaded 3.55 rear differential
  • PP1 gauges and dash trim (Salvage Yard)
  • PP1 wheels and tire (take offs from eBay)
  • Ford Performance GT350 Half Shafts
  • Roush Phase 2 super charger (installed by Reddick Brown Ford, Morrison Tennessee)
My hat is off to Mike at Reddick Brown Ford for the super job he did installing the Super Charger and the dealership for their honestly and deep south friendliness.
I do have an issue I need help with though. Ford has blocked tire size and gear changes on the 2020. The Roush tuner they use at the dealership had been able to make the changes on earlier years but not on my 2020. Roush is looking in to this for me. If anyone has advice on this please forward it.
Happy New Year to all, I hope the next one is better than the last. Owen out.

Nice;

Can a strut-tower brace fit over that SCer? It looks pretty low-profile.

I read somewhere while researching all the mods I wanted to do that it would not. Don't take my word for it you might call Roush

I added Hood, Trunk and lower door panel strips.
I got the GTA from a 1967 fastback that had a lower door panel emblem that read GTA, the A stand for automatic transmission which I have.
On the Original emblem the A was red
so I had the installer put a red infill.

I bet that it’s purring right along now! Seems like you made it your own, I think we’re all trying to do that. Did you dyno? I’m guessing that roush is the 750hp kit? Congratulations and enjoy.

The general consensus is a strut brace won't fit (no rubbing) without installing lower motor mounts or modifying the hood.

Nice;

Can a strut-tower brace fit over that SCer? It looks pretty low-profile.

Yes it's the 750 h.p.. No dyno yet because of pandemic and I need to put 500 miles on the super charger before I pass pass 4000 rpms in a pull. The car is not a daily driver and I have not even put 300 miles on it since the install. I will Dyno it when the Covid thing gets better and post the results

That's crazy how rusty the mufflers were already on a new car. Weird.
That's what my dog said (LOL). The car had a little over 5000 miles on it when I bought it. I think I read in the Car Fax or the dealer told me ( I've slept since then ) that it came from the Chicago area and was a rental car. The widow sticker says that it was delivered in October of 2019. I suspect it saw a lot of road salt and ice melt last winter. I ask the detail shop I use to clean under the car along with a total detail and the bottom is pretty much spotless now. I did notice some sort of threaded studs that protrude from the floor pan and have a light duty nut on them that are rusted also. I don't see any way to replace them. Also noticed when replacing the suspension parts a fine grit substance that I guess is/was road salt/ice melt.
