2020 Shelby GT500 ........Past Shelby’s 2019 GT350R, 2009 GT500 KR, 1970 GT500 ,1969 GT350 ,1966 GT350.
Owned a 350R. Low end torque wasn’t there. GT 500 gobs of low end torque. 8250rpm VS 7500rpm. No big deal. The GT500 is amazingly fast . 3rd gear and the tail wants to dance. Never that much power in the 350. I personally didn’t like the 350 R with resonator delete ...just way to loud and a bit obnoxious at times. The track mode on the GT500 is loud but not raspy loud. Both are great cars and now I’ve got my favorite Shelby. Great drag car and great track car. Oh and great daily driver car also. It covers all the basis.

Congrats on the car! Assuming you are in WV. So am I. Did u buy here in state or have to travel?
I actually don't live in WV now. I am in Myrtle Beach but will be flying to WV tomorrow to pick up the car. Bought the car through Midway Ford.

Congrats man, I’m jelly. I love my 350 but looking to step it up....I’ve exhausted south Florida looking for a GT500, too much money here and not enough brains. I refuse to pay what dealers are asking. Good luck and enjoy.

Question for you guys with 500's. Is the tramlining as bad on the 500's as 350's?

I had the chance to drive a 350 today... wonderful car and now understand the hype and following. But man, with our poorly cared for and uneven roads, the tramlining was terrible and puckered the old butthole a few times. Damn near jerked me into other lane/oncoming traffic on a few occasions. Def needed 2 firm hands on the wheel at all times.
I expected some d/t tire size but much worse than anticipated. Maybe the sticky cup 2's exaggerated it?

Anyway, hoping you guys tell me the 500's suspension/tire set up dampens or decrease the tramlining a bit!

I own a 350 and my dad a 500, driving both regularly, and often back to back on cruises with him. The 500 tram lines no where near as much as my 350. This could be the tires, as I’m run the cup 2’s

The 350R exhaust note is still the best sounding exhaust I've ever heard, but again, just my own opinion.
I had a GT350 with one of Borla's systems and felt it was better than the R's sound.

On my 2020 GT500 I have only done a resonator delete from Lethal and I'd say it is even better. An angrier, meaner growl that doesn't have to whine like a bitch at extreme rpm's to get noticed.

Case in point, I just got back from tracking at Roebling Road down in Georgia a few days ago. There were a couple of ZL1's there that sounded fantastic, as well as a Porsche GT3 with a custom exhaust that held its own. When I returned into the paddock after a few laps everyone commented on the exhaust, including the track management. They told me I easily exceeded the 103db limit they agree to keep an eye on. There's a woman that lives nearby that called to say her windows were rattling every time I was out - and there were guys much faster than me there. It felt good to hear the comments about the sound. The car screamed down the straight. Crank up this shitty video and judge for yourself. It doesn't capture it nearly as well as real world sound but it is somewhat representative. I was hitting 155 at the end of the straight whereas on a GT350 could only manage 144. Slightly holding back with that weak kneed brake pedal pivot on my mind...

No tramlining in the GT500, my GT350 was horrendous. Why is that ????

After a few 14 to 16 hr drives in various conditions and in various different modes I can honestly say no, there isn't any drone.

New knuckle in the GT500 that mitigates the issue.

I have to agree with everyone’s comments. Just trade my 2016 GT350 this past week and had the same concerns and others. Having had a 2012 GT500 and 2014 GT500 and enduring each cars quirks, Ford nailed the 2020 GT500 in my opinion. The DCT is so smooth and if you want to manually shift, the paddles provide the same visceral feeling. It may be the newness, but this car feels perfect to me. With the others there was always something that annoyed me or just quiet wasn’t right. Again, just an opinion. Good luck in what ever you decide.

Add another Mountaineer to the list! WVU Alum (I was also the CFO there for about 10 years)

Ya know, I used LCand paddle shifters yesterday. The paddle shifting is just ridiculously great. Instant shift, feels like a video game in ways. The car is damn near perfect. I feel so lucky and blessed to have been able to get one. I truly believe gentlemen that this is going to be one of the last if not the last great v8 ford produces .

awesome! Hopefully today isnt as hair pulling as last week. I think coach gets it done though.

GT350. The power on the street can hardly be put down at 500HP let alone 760. You won't be able to wring out the 500 on the street. You will spin and lose to way less HP cars with awd. The 350 is going to be way more fun and in my opinion looks better. the only thing I like better on the 500 is the hood. If you like manual cars, get the 350... each time you're done driving it, you will say to yourself. This is one hell of a car, Ford killed it on this one. The new 350 is one of fords 2 greatest of all time. GT500 won't be on that list. BUT, if you want a slightly faster street experience and love highway pulls that put your license on the line hahaha!! Get the 500...it has the power for sure.
