I don't mind being the guinea pig. Soon as practical after I get my car I plan to do the Eibach + 21x11.5 325/25 square setup.

Yeah let me know how it goes what kind of driving do you do most do u like the turns or just straight line I would say get the car first find its limits then try the springs that way we got a good baseline to see the improvement the magna-ride is really is what doing the work but it would be cool to know the difference

Initially I will daily it which consists of 10mile round trip a day at most.....reality is this car will be babied on the street and see the 1/4 mile track few times a year, likely never see a race track and only turns it will see is an aggressive on/exit ramp.

From the research i have done the Eibach should have a little better street manners for daily driven, with minimal loss of real track performance, again from what i have read. I am not looking for ALL out performance looking for a low stance without too much performance sacrifice. This likely is not most peoples direction with the GT500 but is what i want.

I need to do a little more research haven't determined if the ride height sensors need/can be adjusted or if Magride needs recalibrated after drop.

Well this weekend i put a set of eibach gt350 lowering springs on the front. Well.....I likely will be taking them off, and i have not even driven it. Actually it looks awesome but realistically it would be hard to daily drive without destroying the front splitter. The front splitter is 3.5 inches off the ground and the measurement from ground to top of wheel arch is about 26 3/4 - 26 7/8 and I have not even driven it. So likely it will settle some. Pictures below. i haven't done the rear yet as now i am debating on what i want to do.....for sure going with CFTP springs on the front.

If you put the rear springs on you’ll reduce the rake and raise the nose a little.

However remember the front of the 500 is considerably heavier than the 350’s. Therefore the front of the 500 will be lower than the 350 using 350 springs.

Yes I considered this but the rake is likely not going to account much for the overall front clearance, it will help but likely not much. I new the 500 was heavier i just didnt realize how much that would impact. And considering the impact just sitting still, i cant imagine the impact driving with the way reduced spring rate.....I know better, stupid me...sometimes you learn the hard way

I have been waiting to see if any springs for the 500 would come out. I would prefer to do the job once.

However I’m thinking I’ll just install the cftp springs I have and be done with it. I need to get the caster/camber plates installed, and I’m running out of time.

I would like to raise the front about 3/8", I am tired of dragging on the cover behind the splitter every time I pull in the driveway. The cover behind the splitter is lower than the leading edge of the splitter.

At 3.5 inches it don't matter what you do or where you live its going to get a beating.

I'm going to go down to the local off-road store and pickup a skid plate and maybe a push bumper, just in case I have to push start a car.

Three and a half INCHES, yikes, I'm with ya, PTD. Even SlipLo's wouldn't help much, they'd just be lower.

Hope you figure out a solution and, get the ToDo list done before the first snowfall. Just the opposite down here in the Tropics, we look forward to Winter.

But MAN the car is close to the front wall on the lift! Obviously, you knew that from the getgo but seeing it as a bystander made me think how likely it would be that I'D screw up somehow. :-) Killer lift though.

Yeah its about 6" from the wall, but appears like it is touching. My lifts are mainly for storing more cars as my car habit has outgrown my shop size. So i have 2 lifts nestled close to each other and close to walls which isn't optimal for working but they see 95% storage time and 5% work time so it works. CFTP springs and new wheels/tires ordered so i will get everything swapped back out and make it driveable, 3.5 just wont work. My shop is total cluster bomb right now as i don't know how to work on 1 project at a time, i did introduce the new girl (GT500) to the old girl (trans am) hopefully they get along while i am away......

What an amazing photo, (thanks for the "forum" full size image too,) Tony and I salute you on your OCD storage style <grin> It's impressive for sure. She looks quite safe and happy on the top bunk. :-) I sure do love the Red of Race.

Your shop is larger than my garage but MY OCD put up lights about as closely-spaced as yours. <smiling> The wife thought I was nuts so I won't show her your photo. But hey, you GOTTA have good light, don'tcha?

I think the exposed engine and the disassembled quad caught my attention first. Only been on a couple, years ago and that one looks like a BLAST to ride!
