What did you do to your GT350 today?

@Lorne34 ....funny you posted this, I literally just started a thread in the general discussion shopping for a good pressure washer. What are the specs on the Sunjo? What pressure washer was used for those photos? Typically, the specs of the pressure washer are more critical than the soap used. I've seen foam that's ridiculously thick and just clings to the entire vehicle, almost covering it like shaving cream. That's what I want. Your pics still look likes it's staying super runny. I would wonder if that' the soap or the pressure washer still too low on pressure/flow.

The cannon I'm looking at specs a minimum of 1.8gpm and 1,100 psi. I'm already wondering if I'm even gonna find that in an electric washer.
I have this one.

I worked on pressure washers for years and just re-built one for my own. You can get an electric with the specs you want if you look. I used to ge View attachment 475879 t my parts and accessories from Water Cannon. Mine Is 2.1 gpm and 1450 psi. It's a brass pump which can be rebuilt. Added a hose reel with 50 ft hose. It only runs when you pull the trigger too.

Hi Guys, I hope were not going to get yelled at by the moderators for turning this into a "washing/detailing" thread..:giggle:.
Thought I'd answer all the questions at once.
The Sunjo pressure washer I purchased is here: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00CPGMUXW/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I am familiar with Auto Fanatic and Obsessed Garages stuff, but I just don't want or need top of the line equipment. It was reassuring to see Auto Fanatic post a foam cannon that he's used for years that works off a garden hose if you don't want the noise and fuss of a electrical or gas powered pressure washer.
My goal was to be somewhere in the middle of all of the spectrum.. want something fast, efficient that works, but i'm not a professional detailer or have that kind of time/$ to spend.
The pics I took were approx 5-6 minutes in so there was a lot of run off after the initial foaming. The initial foaming was quite good in my estimation, very thick, but it wasn't shaving cream that was going to stick to the car like glue.
I am not even sure if you want that, you want the liquid and dirt to run off the car, so there is a balance there. All I know is that the soap is really working regardless of how the foam looks after x amount of time.
I am using the Griots Foam Surface wash which states that you leave it on for approx 5-10 minutes to work and then rinse. I have been doing closer to the 10 minutes, although depending upon how hot it is you may have to rinse early because they state you should not allow to dry on your car.
I didn't have water spots, but I did have some water streaking even after using a leaf blower to dry off the car. I am going to be researching a good drying product (ammo has one) that I can use to wipe the car down after finishing.
Yes, water makes a difference, I am in the city, so not terribly hard water, but still city water,.. I purchased these... per auto fanatics recommendation video
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00BEDNXTW/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1
but haven't had a chance to hook everything up yet. I purchased additional hosing, quick disconnects, etc... I will be trying it with the filter the next time.
I also have to get a hang off the adjustment knob on the Griots which controls the foam output.. not sure I know where it optimal yet....
I'm also going to experiment with some rinseless wash products for when the car is not super dirty and doesn't need the full foam treatment. I think it's safer than waterless wash which to me is like quick detailing and can scratch your paint up if you are not very careful and use a ton of product. The rinseless washes only require 2 gallons of water and some microfiber towels.
Washing/detailing is a lot of fun.......I work in IT, so my mind is always running.. it's nice to relax and just clean your car. It's never ending fun... body, wheels, exhaust tips, interior, engine bay, etc. etc...

I use the Griots as well and have had good results with it. Regarding the drying aid, I use bead maker with excellent results!

Not sure if this is the correct thread, but will give it a shot. For car inspection before a track day, do folks do it themselves, have a special mechanic they use or do folks just take their GT350 to a Ford Dealer for a pre-track day inspection? Thank you in advance for you responses.

I’ve got a good feeling most do it themselves because so many here wrench anyways.
Me, I wouldn’t know what I was doing either....you’re not alone.
Good news is I’ve got a good friend that is the lead tech at a local high end dealership. We want to both track the car as well.

Most Road Coarses do a inspection, but you should also have your car prepped as well.
Lots of good info in the link I've included.. I'll be doing my first hopefully this year yet!

I have to say I am really disappointed in the quality of the vinyl stripes in regards to scratches, swirls, etc... Some had applied PPF to alleviate this. I would much prefer painted or stripeless. I am most likely going to have mine removed and do an autoflex version....

I went stripeless in my order... as much as I like the black stripes on the iconic silver, I didn’t want the hassle of the factory vinyl.
