KB, just a regular tube of GE 100% Clear Silicone. This will keep those letters down but if I ever want to remove them I can. Cleaning the silicone from the plastic splitter won't be a big deal if I change my mind on letter colors.

On another subject, and I have quite a few this past week, one of the things I always do is make the engine compartment look a little cleaner. To me, cleaner means less busy I guess. I cannot stand all the yellow painted items like the hood latch end, dip stick, wording on the caps, etc. All of those items have been painted black plus I covered the brake and radiator reservoirs and shock towers. Earlier I posted I rerouted the hood latch cable. I covered the aluminum A/C line with a high temp black cable cover and added red domed Shelby letters to the support in front. I ordered all the caps (5 total) in Performance Blue with black lettering hoping this will dress it up a bit. Not sure what I am going to do about that little coolant reservoir but I will think of something.

Mark: <I'm smiling> I sure would like to meet you sometime because I've only met a very few folks who suffer more from OCD than I. <grinning now>

I hear ya on all the "distractions" when looking at the engine motor thingy and I totally agree but I never thought to PAINT them...BIG DUH!

But where did you get those shock tower covers? WAY KEWELL and surely, you didn't fabricate them out of some liquid vinyl stuff or something? And what "caps?" For bolt threads? Link?

Did you pull the brake reservoir to paint it?

Finally...I'm going to gin up my own "SHELBY" decal for that black support...PERFECT although mine will be flat which is no big deal but at least it's something *I* know how to do. <laughing>

Yours looks...well, FABULOUS and I'm SO envious...I just don't know if my affliction is up to the tasks. :-)

Shock tower covers: https://www.cjponyparts.com/jlt-performance-strut-cover-top-textured-black-pair-2015-2020/p/STT51/

Coolant tank cover: https://www.cjponyparts.com/jlt-per...bs-plastic-textured-black-2015-2020/p/ROFTC7/

Brake reservoir cover: https://www.cjponyparts.com/califor...inder-cover-black-textured-2015-2020/p/MCC39/ I had the trim the back side so it would fit around the vacuum line and remove the wire retainer in front.

Better be sitting down for this one... The aluminum caps can be custom painted any color and the lettering can be any color. I went with Performance Blue caps with black lettering. I had them change the oil cap to read 5-50 and ordered an extra coolant cap for the extra coolant tank. It takes 5 weeks to get them or so.

Thank you, thank you, thank you, Mark! You saved me a whole of Web searching. :-)

Love the idea of the caps now that I know what you're talking about. I'll take a closer look at the image.

Five weeks, you say? All I have is some amount of time, hopefully it's long enough. <grin>

You might see if Scott Drake has aluminum engine/reservoir caps for the latest GT500s yet. They're top notch stuff. I've got Drake caps on my '15, and had their GT500-specific ones on my '07 GT500 as well.
