Has anyone done a relatively comparative Dyno overlay of all the different AS SHIPPED forced induction setups on otherwise STOCK 2018+ Gts?

Genuinely curious about out out of box comparisons.
Clearly all setups will be fuel limited so let's keep that relative.

Vortech
Procharger
TVS
Whipple
Hellion top
Hellion midmount
LPF midmount
Any others

most setups will make similar power on a custom tune, as your limiting factor is fuel, we usually tune most catted setups around 670ish, with headers 700ish.. e85 775-800

really comes down to budget / goals, etc..

feel free to hit me with any questions or goals and I can help guide you.

I'm more interested in the curves, tbh. Peak is not indicative of manners.

And luckily, I've talked to you already Terry. You came highly recommended. You were leaning towards vortech and I was leaning towards hellion sleeper, for a street thumper a10 car

Well there you go. Sounds like turbos is your route. Let us know when you place the order and don't forget to start a build thread.

Not really much to go on since only 3 that I know of come with "out of the box" setups. Procharger, TVS(Idlebrock, Roush, etc), and Whipple. The rest come with custom fuel and tuning setups required. Otherwise there is piles of graphs around of everyones different setups. You won't find a realistic comparison apples to apples so to speak. Hard to go wrong with any of them, just user preference.

Love to see canned tuned Stage 2 kits all show up to a track and run the same day, would be such cool content

Kind of snarky. Thanks for your input.

Jb, one other thing to consider is that none of them appear to be running the same boost level or attempting to pump the same amount of air. I don’t think it’s apples to apples to compare brand A thats cramming 15% more air into an engine than brand B. And yes, the differences are that big.

Another thing to consider is that inlet restrictions (tb, maf, airbox, etc) can kill the top end, so a company pulleys the thing down to overcome these losses and the result is a nice looking torque curve but is it really better to do it this way?

Just food for thought...

Correct. Tons of variables I agree. I was just curious if anyone had near stock pulls to see how the VE of the gen3 coyotes were and then be able to see how tuning the cams was playing into it.

I know absolutely ZERO about mustang v8 modulars.

Just trying to make a calculated plan of attack for this build. I'm not much for following blind trends, if they are such.

I don't normally follow the trends anyways.

I'll try to at least provide you one of many answers. Here's an out of the box Edelbrock 2650 Stage 2 on a bone stock 2020 A10 car with Edelbrock 91 tune (no octane booster). It will not be an apples to apples comparison with other FI setups run on different dynos, but at least shows you the power curve.

Thank you Patriot Six.

Looks like an instant torque monster. Must be hard to hook up on the street if you stab it?

I also have an A10 car, so my question is this, does the box tune ever even allow the car to dig itself out of a gear or does torque command (read:load vs tps) have it downshift immediately? At that point is it a violent tire shocker?

Thanks for your feedback.

The EB tune is straight garbage. You need to go to almost 90% throttle position to get the car into boost and/or to get the tires to break loose. The car will downshift in order to accelerate faster.

I'm currently on a Lund tune and it makes boost instantly even though I'm running a larger blower pulley making 2psi less boost. Car picked up 25 rwhp/tq with the Lund tune on less boost. Car hooks pretty well right now on NT05Rs.

Thank you sir.

Do you recall the avg rpm drop per gear upshift? Starting to look like a Centri or turbo may shine on an A10 if the shift pattern spread doesn't warrant a deep rpm pull.

I've only driven one a10 car and I don't exactly recall the stock shift points. I haven't even driven my own 2018 pp1 a10 car. It's just sitting at the house waiting for me. Bought it sight unseen.

Looking at my logs, it drops from about 7k to 5500 on gear shifts with the EB tune. Shift points are higher with the Lund tune.
