Yes, it's on the outside for sure me thinks. You wouldn't want the adhesive side of the film facing the light lens anyway.

Put on the side stripes (wrapped around the body edges so you don't see the edge of the stripe), tinted the rear third light, back up and rear reflectors and added gloss black domed Shelby splitter letters. I wanted something filling in the Shelby impressions but did not want it to draw attention. Doing the same with the GT500 letters getting from TexxasGT350 going with matte black. Very subtle.

I don't think so. While I really like them in that spot, like the earlier Shelby's, it looks too crowded to me with the spoiler being so close to the edge of the trunk lid. I also think the letters would look better if they were all black so I got a second set and was going to paint the red pinstripe in the middle black but now just don't think I will add the letters. You never know with me though.....

Thanks for all the compliments guys. Motivation? It's my first new Mustang in 41 years. As with all new cars/trucks I buy (all Ford) I order them so it gives me time to purchase all the parts and things to mod them pretty much right away when they arrive. I haven't had this one for two weeks yet and yes I have been busy but not overly so. Enjoying every minute of it.

I really like the way everything has turned out so far but I am still having issues deciding on which of the two taillights I like. I like them both for different reasons. Anyone care to comment on them? I don't want to hear "I'd stick with the red OEM ones" because that ain't gonna happen.

Here's another couple photos of Riley. She's 14 months and seems to like the comfort of my back seat.

Mark, can you post where you got the seat heaters and switches. Would like to look at that option for my R and adding a possible substitute heater for my Excursion.

You can cut the pad if needed to fit the seat. Instead of a two position rocker switch like most, it is a three temp touch switch similar to many OEM car switches. It cost me $350 to have the heaters put in both Recaro's (I brought them the seats). The wiring is simple, you just need to connect to a ground, 12 volt constant and 12 volt accessory. I used a fuse tap for the both of them, one 5 amp fuse at #2 for the accessory and one 15 amp fuse at #28 for constant. Right above the fuse box (right kick passenger kick panel) are two ground screws I used one of those for the ground.

The tricky part and the thing that took the longest is mounting the switches. That took me at least an hour. You have very little room for the switch to mount were I wanted to put them and you have to not only cut the holes perfectly in that little removable panel that is between the USB port and 12 volt outlet but you also have to cut the dash panel behind it to allow for the switch to fit. I just did a little at a time until it worked and it barely all fit. There is no other place I could have put those switches in that area. They had to be that close together because of the two screws that secure the lower part of the radio panel to the dash were in the way. At least I figure if I ever wanted to move the switches or put different ones in, I could just replace that little plastic panel and no one would know the difference. Now, originally I would have bought a new radio dash panel for the premium sport seats that have the heated/cooled switches already there and I would activate the heated switch part to work with my seat heaters (have done this on other cars before). However I am most likely going to be changing out the entire radio panel which will eliminate that area so just decided to put them down where I did.

Thanks for the info Mark. While I’m not interested in seat heaters, I would like seat coolers.
When you had the seats out, did it appear as though there was a mounting area for a cooling fan like most standard seats have?
If so, installing the same wiring but to a seat cooler fan would be nice.

There is quite a bit of room under the bottom of the seat but not sure how much you need for a cooling fan and you would need to make a bracket for it to mount to. I am not that familiar with cooling fans for seats as I have only seen them in photos.

Blue is in my top 3 color choices and I’d love it to look just like your car.

Thanks J. You know what my top color choice is? Rapid Red. That is, in my opinion the best color for this car. Unfortunately I could not bring myself the buy a red car. A little to bright colored for me. A little too noticeable. So I ordered Iconic Silver. Then I realized the last three vehicles I had were silver and gray so changed it at the last minute to Performance Blue. While I am very happy with the blue, deep down I would rather have Rapid Red.

I forgot to mention in this photo from an early post, that I painted both lower left and right radiators black. Not sure why Ford would leave them bright silver when they painted everything else black behind the center part of the grill.
