I am trying to get a new set of wheels for my gt350 and debating between 6gr wheels and apex racing wheels.

Any recommendations?
I am leading to apex wheels since I heard some caliper clearance issues with 6gr wheels.
Thanks!

When I get wheels, I'll be going with Signature wheels. Great caliper clearance, well made, and strong

Are you going to have two sets of wheels then, one for DD and one for track? If just one set, I would do the Apex 19x11 square setup. You can do a rotatable 19x11 et52 with extended front studs and 25 mm spacers, or do 19x11 et26 up front and et52 rear.

Is Apex also made in Asia, like the Signatures are?

I believe so, but I think Apex are good quality. I run Apex wheels on my BMW race car, which is ~2750 lbs. For a car as heavy and powerful as the GT350/R, I prefer true forged wheels so I went with Signature for my GT350R. They get used for street and wet track, and the CF wheels get used on dry track with the Cup 2 tires.

Are your spare wheels primarily for street or track?

Street, so I really don't need the super light stuff,. I REALLY like some of the import wheels as well, and may go that way, but all things equal, I am trying to keep my brothers employed here in the USA. But I also don't go to Wal-Mart, so I am one of those nut jobs I guess. Just so many decent people I know personally now don't have work in manufacturing in our area (Detroit) and might be employed doing something far more basic and modest paying, despite their amazing skills. All these little custom machine shops are for lease or are now selling pot or whatever. So odds are I will buy what I like in the end, but I do make a small token effort upfront. No judgement here AT ALL of others choices, this is just me, but this is in part why I bought a Mustang in the end when I was looking at some other amazing options (GT-R, 911, etc)

Well, Forgeline is your best bet for a US wheel with good quality. Spendy, but worth it.

It is spendy indeed. But they are also very good looking to me on an S550 and it looks like some of the other places have similar looking copy designs.

I guess what I don't get is if a cheapo wheel is a copy, people will buy them for the look at a lower cost, understood. But some of these places charge just as much for the asia wheel and they charge for a real forgeline.

Again, to each to their own, but if I am going 5-6k for a set of rims, absolutely Forgeline is the one, It appears the resale is better as well

We all have out own thoughts on this, and no judgement to others who think different, but long short of it is, I agree with you and if I can "pony up" (pun intended), that's what I'll get

Congratulations on be Shelby. Wheel shopping is always fun. I pride myself in building not only race winning wheels, but giving you options to build the wheels exactly how you want.

Take a browse in the build album and see how you feel. This is arguably the greatest track focused Mustang ever made. Probably researched a ton on the platform, weighed all the options, and decided this was the right car. Keep that line of thinking and don’t settle on whatever. Give it all it deserves, and then some.
