that's the only difference though, I don't know what's different about the amp, just that the 6.5's in those 2 vs 12 are 4ohm vs 2 ohms.

When I talked to the guy at the local custom stereo shop about what I was doing to upgrade my stereo, he mentioned it was a good decision to get the base model. Apparently it's the easiest to upgrade with the most expandable options, and with a decent DSP actually sounds better than a lot of these so-called upgraded OEM systems. He said guys come in to get upgrades, and it quickly turns into a nightmare trying to upgrade speakers and programming a new DSP to get the right sound stage. It's like adding more and more speakers actually makes it worse. Sort of like throwing more fuel on a fire.

And last but not least. I noticed even though my speakers sounded better than factory, they still didn't have much bass from the rear, and sounded anemic.

So, the answer to that was..... Forscan.

I set my ACM blocks 727-01-02 settings to 00xx - 31.

Sounds so much better now. Like a real stereo. In fact, the Pioneer D-series speakers have a low end frequency range of 32hz, I am starting to doubt if I really need to install a sub woofer.

I had mine set like yours, It did make the rears louder,
But it turns off the EQ . I tried 09xx and it sounds much cleaner, not so tinny.
And yes, the rears are still louder.

Note: I have the 9 speaker premium system. I did disconnect the center dash speaker.

can you run the 9 speakers, 4 ohm setup on the up graded 2 ohm factory amp?

You can run 4ohms it just cuts volume by half

Adding 1ohm to 2 ohm amp will burn it up, or 2ohm to 4ohm amp

But opposite is fine,
