DAMN that's pretty, Jeff! Was it a PITA to install?
not at all the hardest part is finding the spring through the whole next to the paddle shifters to release airbag there is a great you tube showing it. I bet it took like an hour from start to finish

Thanks, Jeff and glad it was easy. I may have to take a closer look at those cuz they are downright gorgeous.
I can speak from experience Kent, they are phenomenal. The fact that this is the most direct link between us and the car, it just may be the best money spent, mod wise. Every single time you sit in, and drive the car, you see and touch the steering wheel.

The trick to releasing the airbag from the internal clips is to use the biggest torx screwdriver that fits in the hole. These do not slip when pushing the clip to release the airbag, better than allen wrenches, or other tools.

I want to get one, but the ever so slight off center would drive me nuts

Here it is
Jeff,
That is an outstanding instructional video. I especially appreciated the detail on the air bag spring clips.
I didn't understand until being able to see his explanation later in the video. Pushing the spring in to release the clip is a no brainer. (NOW) smile. Jaime had given me the heads up on using the torx driver to prevent it slipping off. NOW, I understand that as well. Thank you Jaime.

Unlike the splined shafts on early designs , the dot and arrow to insure the wheel location is also dummy proof. I am armed with knowledge. THANK YOU .

Now where is my steering wheel from Beith? smile. 6 weeks out. I should have ordered it a long time ago.

Regards,
George

Glad to help. I was nervous ordering mine months before I got the car, in fear of something being different with the new paddle setup, and it not fitting. I was glad to have it in my garage waiting for the car to arrive, but it was a bit unnerving lol. If you need any help during the install, call me anytime George, I got you.

SO I love my new steering wheel...BUT... My paddle shifter with the deep scratch from the facory is holding me up from the swap. IE The replacement paddle shifter arrived today after being on back order for a month...Wait for it... two scratches.... I do not want to swap the wheel until I can put an undamaged paddle shifter back in at the same time. Have any of you gotten a good replacement for your damaged shifter?
Regards,
George

I like to disassemble things.
I ordered one identical to Jmeo's (looked so good I had to!) on January 30th. Curious as to how long it took for you guys to receive yours...?

Very nice, I think you are going to love it. For me, he was a little backed up, but I think it took 6-8 weeks. Not having the car at the time, I wasn’t wigging for the wheel, so I can’t remember exactly how long it was. I think his usual wait time is 4-6 weeks. Looking forward to your review of the wheel, and your very well written install.

Ah crap George, that’s a bummer. My paddle had a hairline scuff on it, so I didn’t bother asking for a replacement. I think it was Tob who mentioned it buffed out with a little rubbing compound, so I eventually will try that. The only reason I even noticed it was due the reports of damaged ones. Hopefully they get you a new one lickity split.

Hey, are you going to the track attack?

Well, thanks again to you Jaime for pioneering this one. I swapped an R model wheel onto my regular GT350 and it was rather easy and I sense not much has changed.

i honestly had no intention of changing wheels on this car but I'm not really a fan of having to be extra careful with the alcantara. So when I saw yours it was exactly what I was looking for. I couldn't figure out from the site which options to choose so I forwarded Tim one of your photos and said "this is exactly what I want so just tell me what I'll be paying for."

:)
