Read where they did manual shifting on that run...I think it was on that run. Either way, the GT500 is a whole different animal.

It takes a lot less $$$ to build a GT to be faster than the CJ car. IMO CJ isn’t worth $100k+

Not sure why they hit 3200 launch rpm and only went 1.63. I left at 800rpm and mine went identical 60ft. Anything over 1000rpm, it would spin.
My car is 4313lbs with me in it and I was also on 305/35/20 Mickey Et Street SS.

I know for fact these Factory Cobra Jets are Bad Ass and it will cost a lot of $$ to make a Ford Mustang Gt to run 7.82ET on a nine inch tire like Kevin Skinner did last year a Bradenton Motors Park.

Traction limiting in the DCT.

Not sure why they hit 3200 launch rpm and only went 1.63. I left at 800rpm and mine went identical 60ft. Anything over 1000rpm, it would spin.
My car is 4313lbs with me in it and I was also on 305/35/20 Mickey Et Street SS.

Torque management... you can hear the car lay flat for most of the 60'.

makes sense, mine was still turning on torque mgt also and pulling timing. Finally got it to stay turned off , to a certain degree. Its way more violent below 4k now. Cant wait to get a better tire on it.

Definitely sounds like they are manually shifting the car on the first two runs. The drag mode uses a specific clutch engagement method to allow for slightly faster times than the manual track shift. Wonder if they were doing it manually to get it to hold RPM longer or something. Sounds like they utilized that on the third run.

Lund said on his FB post that in order to take advantage of the RPM it had to be paddle shifted at 8k.
