Well that car was not on gmd2003 list but thank you for pointing out a $900k+ car out performs a $73k mustang! Like I said, I'm not a very good bench racer!

Exactly! Oh wait let me pick a different flavor of color\kool-aid so I'm not confusing members! This red is definitely more fitting, this is the same color I've had my gauges set on since I bought my car almost 5 years ago! It just kills me how these guys are trying to compare the stock GT 500 to some million dollar cars! GT 500 plus a 5k in mods will smoke them all, at least in the 1\4 mile! It's really no different than trying to compare a stock gt vs a stock gt 500\gt 350. Of course the gt is slower, add mods and yes it could and can be faster but it's still just a gt. It is what it is fellows, let's just try and be honest!

You can't brag about the C8 beating the GT500 in the 1/4, then turn around and claim the HP advantage makes the track comparison unfair. Is the C8 faster or not?

It’s because they know motor trend sandbagged and failed extract easily attainable 10 second 1320 numbers. When numerous folks are sub 10 and race car randy is half second slower... you know what’s up.

Even so, he couldn’t stop the 500 from whooping up on the C8.

Let’s see billy Johnson drive the 500 on the same course. Bet he gets a significantly better time. On both versions.

That’s why. People know the 500 is the better car. And this after the trolls threw out the C8 as a roadblock to the 500.

The Shelby was getting all the hype as it compared theoretically to the Camaro and challenger. So the GM guys said ‘no. You have to fight the C8.’ Fully expecting the usual slaughter the Vette does to the Mustang. Especially now that it’s mid engine.

Only they didn’t expect the underdog would beat the crap out of the newfangled corvette. Now they want to complain. LOL

THE MUSTANG ID PROVEN FASTER IN A STRAIGHT LINE AAAAAAND FASTER AROUND CORNERS.

But, sticking with the OP of this thread, these are the stats and there is only one that people are bragging about and ignoring all of the others. Only 1 stat did the base GT500 beat the base C8.
