Never get to attached to any one brand. Next year what we own will most likely be yesterdays news.
GT500, new Z06, C8...…...One of the three will come my way and it seems the Z06 might be first.
You're gonna be waiting till 2021, and since they will be in high demand probably 2022/2023.

2020 model year will be a short run since production was delayed due to the strike. 2020's are sold out, that's true. But 2021 models should start late summer or early fall. Even if it takes a year from now that's fine. Will continue to look for a 2019 Z06 until mid January. If that fails will put a deposit on a C8. Deposits are fully refundable with the dealer I use so that gives me the option to keep on looking for a pristine used 2019 Z up to the point my order is submitted,
Life is good:clap:

I know of a dealership that has not even ordered there 2020 GT500 yet.
They are asking $20,000 ADM
Might be able to talk them down to $5,000

2020 C8 is not sold old. There are dealers with allocations left at MSRP. But these are not early allocations so your looking at late summer or fall delivery at this point unless people back out and you can find a car. But I am guessing those cars will be over MSRP.

When you say short run do you mean less then the 5000 advertised and if so where did you get that info? Less then 5000 in 2020 would be a interesting nugget

Jeff: Personally, I'd wager that Ford will produce the full 5k by the end of MY production. Whether or not they meet the 1250 goal for the Golden Ticket business also remains to be seen but again I'd bet that they'll find buyers.

By short run I meant the timeline for building them. First cars are not supposed to come off production line in Feb. In normal times the new model year is announced in April and production starts late summer/early fall.
I’m talking C8’s.

What “forum” dealers still have 2020 C8 allocations at MSRP? Kerbeck and MacMulkin told me they didn’t have any left.

Hendrick still claims they have some left. Honestly, most larger dealers are selling them at MSRP according the Corvette forums. The smaller ones and a few in the top 50 are adding the mark ups.

I’ll stick with MacMulkin or Kerbecks if I place an order. At 66 years old a few months means nothing to me :)

Nothing wrong with that I like MacMulkin. Have you talked to them recently because they may have had people cancel. I know in late October I talked to them and they still had a number of allocations left on 2020’s and had a number of cancellations in November.

Love the GT500 but i will pay above sticker for any car. Decided to order a Corvette. The C8 I spec'ed out will have pretty much the same performance as the current Z06 and cost me less.
Here are the details:
Coupe 2LT
Blade silver
Full length dual racing stripe, carbon flash metallic
Black interior
Battery protection
Front and rear splash guards
Carbon flash painted mirrors
Performance exhaust
Edge red painted calipers
Museum delivery

We live 3 hours away from the Museum so it will be easy to grab a bus and make the trip up. Pick up the car and enjoy an easy drive home. My guess is the car will be finished in October.

I envy you owners of the GT500. Its an awesome car but with the current mark ups its out of my price range.
