How does the paint look after such a long time sitting outside?

I bought an FX4 that had sat in the dealer lot for almost a year and the rain etched the paint. Of course it sat in the Georgia sun (I know, we have the same sun) and it was in the Atlanta Hartsfield flight line.

Beautiful car and great color combination; I ordered the same!
Thanks!

Car is pretty dirty and the dealer has to prep it so I couldn’t say if the paint suffered any permanent damage after sitting for so long. Once the handling package is installed and the car is clean I will look it over again to make sure there are no issues with the paint prior to taking delivery.

We all followed your long wait. And with that chassis number it was indeed a very very long wait. To the best of you knowledge could you give us the short version of what happened to your car and why it took so very very long????
Any possible delay that could happen did happen. Vehicle sat for over 2 months waiting for the steering wheel and then another month due to the shifter mechanism issue. Sat in the rail yard for 3 weeks and then took over 2 weeks to arrive at the dealership.

From order to delivery was about 6 months and the vehicle was delivered 3 months and 11 days after the original delivery date.

Another photo of the car, still filthy and too much shade to appreciate the color. Really like the white stripe, this is my 3rd GT350, and the white stripe is nice. Quality of the stripe seems different than my 2018.

I will post more photos once the vehicle is officially “delivered” to me.

N/A Ordering soon.
Congrats and suggest that you may have one of the last few R's to be assembled before a shutdown and retooling at the FRAP.

Great color combination and will be curious to hear what your chassis number is?

:clap::clap:
When is this retooling happening? Placing my order for a 2020 R tomorrow morning.

I've been waiting on one I ordered in AZ that got stuck for some reason at the Rail Yard since 5/20.
Another Arizona Railroad deal goes up in smoke! Great idea to send mobile repair crews to railroad yards all across the country, Ford!

Yeah, and the worst part is no ETA on when it will be even scheduled to be fixed. I'll keep checking on my original order since I still have the VIN and am curious to when it will be released. From another shifter thread here, seems like the shifters/parts are out of stock, but for new builds, they seem to keep coming off the line and getting delivered.

The dealers do have the ability to track a car's progress pretty accurately once it has been shipped. This is the life of my car so far. You have to start at the bottom and work backwards to the top. Car was crossing from Wisconsin into Minnesota at 7:16 this morning, well on its way to dealership in Winnipeg.

I asked my dealer about tracking mine when I had one inbound. The Sales Manager said he had no interest in any of that information as it had no bearing on when it was actually going to arrival. More or less it is what it is.

Sounds more like your sales manager was indifferent . My ETA at dealer is showing as July 23rd so that's quite possible given its progress so far.

Mine too was filthy when it came off the car carrier. My GT350 is K0634 assembled 3/15. It appears they were close in assembly, yet my arrived April 30th. So close to yours and so weird how and why yours was so delayed. I hope after your full inspection and having it a few days the Voodoo spell with erase the pains of the past few months. Welcome to the Voodoo Blue club.

Thanks for the welcome, appreciate it.

There is no rhyme or reason to how vehicles were delivered for the 2019 MY. Your vehicle had to be delivered late, my original delivery date was April 4th. Your vehicle must have been at the opposite end of the steering wheel row from my vehicle and it wasn’t delayed for the shifter mechanism issue.

I am looking forward to enjoying that special Voodoo magic once again, perhaps as early as this Saturday.

The day has arrived! Dealer called and sent me these pics. Hmmmm, riding on top and forward? Oh well, call the tire shop and make an appointment to swap out the SC2's for some SS's. Dealer calls back, "One of the guys was taking the car down to put some gas in it (Wait! What? You just let anyone hop inside and drive it?) and they noticed you have no driver's side seat belt latch. So we can't sell it to you like that. I'll talk to my service manager Monday and see what we can do." :headbang::headbang::headbang::headbang:
