Every since I got married my wallet isn't too lopsided at all in the back pocket....I can't keep my wallet in my back pocket. I don't want to lean to one side when sitting. It's just uncomfortable.
I agree with the leather quality. It is very soft and comfortable but also very thin. Time will tell.Only downside of the premium is that the leather kinda sucks, it wears and rips easily.
Another way to think about it, is that yes you may pay more for it now but you will also get more for it when/if you sell.
Personally I would get the base and use the rest of the money for mods or track days. $4k will get you a lot of track days.
I also learned how to drive with a three on the tree pickup. If they put the Tremec in the GT it would have been a tougher decision for me.When I started shopping for an '18 GT I really considered an a10. Despite knowing the a10 is faster I got a manual. I don't regret it a bit, even sitting in traffic. I'm old and learned to drive on a 3 speed column shift pickup. It's great we have a choice.
Both of my S550s have been PP cars. I agree that for those doing a lot of suspension work it makes sense to skip PP. For me it makes for a really good street car that just needs some anti-wheelhop tweaks.
Ah the old three on the tree. I can remember driving the base model Dodge pick up that my company had when I was 18. That had a three on the tree.I also learned how to drive with a three on the tree pickup. If they put the Tremec in the GT it would have been a tougher decision for me.
I'm in the same situation. How hard was the MyColor cluster swap?Go for the premium!
I have a 2018 base GT I purchased brand new. So far I've added leather seats, MyColor gauges, and PP gauges. I totally can't stand the 4 inch display and really want Sync 3. While I did save money on the overall purchase price, it's kind of a pain adding all the features the premium car would have had.....
Not hard at all. Basically plug and play. You'll have to get the mileage programmed though. Some guy's have had to use forscan to deactivate some premium features. In my particular situation, forscan was not needed. Had the miles programmed and plugged it right in. Very happy having MyColor gauges, so much better than the plain white,I'm in the same situation.
