I've done extensive testing for Jason Etter at Dept Of Boost who fabricated and welded a new plate and 1" inlet outlet into the whipple IC. I have basically have a rolling temp lab with dedicated sensors in the HE outlet (cool side) and the IC outlet (hot side) also have dedicated IAT 2 sensor. The MFP 8mm phenolic spacers made a huge different -30 IAT2.What modifications have to be made to fit the phenolics?
You’d lose the bolt at the top of the idler stand correct?
When you say they work, does it run much cooler?
General observations regarding IAT?
Here is the test data below. All done after engine heat soaked then parked and recorded at idle after these times frames sitting. Sorry the data was copy pasted from a word doc that had proper spacing. maybe I can attache the doc.
Test today April 14, 2019 I added and extended the test to 20 and 25 minutes just to see. Amazing results really.
44F ambient, last year 43F cart was driven for 30 unites like last time oil temp was 200 and cyl head temp was 201.

I have the Zeitronix ZT-2 with their IAT sensor installed in the manifold runner. You can buy one of their many display units or like me I have it displayed through my N-Gauge which is compatible.
