I may just write it myself to break even with publishing costs.

Sounds like we ordered very similar cars. Mine is Kona with black stripes, no recaro, black roof, carbon fiber, cover. I ordered 3/11/19 and all has been quiet. I hope I get some news soon, but I don't want to wish the summer away. .
Just for the fun of seeing how close & satisfy curiosity while waiting for them...and because we may be in a category of closer to 20 than 30 cars based on MY18 and that this may be a shorter or as short late/half season run....and because Velocity & Performance (also awesome) seem to be popular blues right now.....wait for it....running start.....
Kona with black stripes, no recaro (leather sofa seats), black roof, carbon fiber, cover, electronics package, handling package. Still same? Even the guzzler tax? Man o man ;-)
Filling the time between checking status for weeks...we amuse ourselves.

I stumbled across a couple dealerships that have them in stock and marked down 5% off MSRP too.

This is getting plain ridiculous. Car costs 65-70K and we are waiting on stripes. I am curious, seeing I was just told mine is on a Material Hold, what color stripes did you order? I find it amazing it may come down to a car being shipped by just picking the color of the stripes. I have ordered a Kona Blue Car with Black Stripes. I heard it was the Carbon Fiber after the steering wheel baloney. Now I am reading trains are broken down. I think the next term I search for in Google is "Dealer Inventory." Good Lord.
I ordered white stripes. Dealer called today and now my EDD is end of June from 5/14. All I can do is laugh.

Same here: Kona with Black Stripes - though I ordered Black Roof also.

Ordered 1/16/2019 (for diff customer - changed for my color & option specs on 4/12)
As of this Tuesday Build Scheduled for 7/22
And Delivery/ETA range 8/26 to 8/30 (aka September)

Just got my VIN Tuesday. So as of yesterday schedule estimates (and that's all they really are) it's 2 months from build and 100 days from Delivery....

I've ordered Fords to spec before. This time been anything but wonderful- delayed gratification is an understatement - and none of that the fault of the 2 fine dealers trying their best for me.

That's just the way it is - lets hope those builds aren't effected by an environment of massive layoffs or new unanticipated supply chain snags.
Yours is the first order I've seen so far thats to be delivered after mine - Build 7/8, ETD 8/2

no recaro (leather sofa seats)
"Sofa Seats"... now that's just plain funny!
Those seats are more like a sofa compared to the Recaros, but I had not heard them called that. Thanks for the laugh.
I sat in a '19 with the "sofa seat" and the salesman told me that it has heated & cooled seats. I have never sat on "cooled" seats. He indicated that it feels like your sitting on a wet spot... he was right!
I guess I would get used to it, but I will not have to since I ordered mine with the Recaros.

I finally took delivery May 17th... For those waiting, the wait was well worth it. I have owned and driven lots of cars (Z06 corvettes, Porsche Turbo, etc....) and this machine is right there with them.

Congratulations, beautiful car.

What was your blend date? And what was your original delivery date?

Just called Ford Performance to see if perhaps my luck had changed and the car was finally released.

Sadly, no change. Today is day 70 since my “Blend Date” and next week will be almost 60 days since my original delivery date.

I confirmed with Ford Performance that a vehicle produced on March 28th was released for shipping on April 24th. It is a month later and the vehicle I ordered has still not been released. There has to be more to this than just steering wheels. Perhaps Ford, in their infinite wisdom, is only pulling these vehicles back into the production line every few weeks. Just my thoughts as to why there continues to be delays in finalizing these vehicles.

They're not recaros but they've got plenty of side bolstering for my body shape....sofa seats is facetious - I also call them old man seats - they are easier to get in & out of. It's all subjective and they feel quite racy compared to my leather MY15 Explorer Sport seats (also heated & cooled and yes, cooled is that wet shorts feeling - weird and I almost never use it other than to take the scorch out of baked in sun seating - with AC cranked on the hottest days a warm seat still feels great on my back).
Mine will have taken so long from order to delivery that I will probably fall asleep in the sofa seats listing to the B&O dreaming about a long fall season for use & putting on some miles vs storage.

The wait is over for me finally. This was one emotional rollercoaster ride but I’m really happy with the car. I owned an eco boost before this car and I can’t describe the next level this car offers. The car is in its own league. I don’t think I would have been happy finding a replacement for this car. The wait was worth it. I hope everyone else gets their cars soon.
