They don’t.
A customer has to purchase a Mustang from a dealer and bring it to Shelby American.
The Mustang is then transformed by Shelby American... with what is chosen by the buyer.
So you are suggesting that the SIXT Rental Car company has to purchase their 2019 Mustangs first before SA gets their hands on them, I don't think so.

These 2019 Black and Orange Mustangs will be shipped and sold directly to SA in LV after which time these rentals cars will be modified into 600 HP rental cars for the SIXT Rental Car Company and shipped to select SIXT locations just the same as it was done back in 1966 at the SA location at LAX on the West Imperial Highway.

According to my notes, the biggest production on the Voodoo GT350 was the first full year of production. It has settled lower since. I think the new GT500 will be the hot one going forward. JMO.[/QUOTE]

Actually the largest volume production year was the second year of full production namely the 2017MY with 7115 cars produced that year compared to 6169 cars produced during the 2016MY.

Of course production dropped off dramatically for the 2018MY with only 4378 cars produced.

Just put in my deposit today for my 19'. Got it for $1,500 below invoice, not MSRP. Car with destination is $62.4K, + Gas Guzzler Tax MSRP would be around $64K, dealer sold me for $59K flat. Cant wait to get it RR GT350 only electronics package nothing else.

Thanks, I will correct my numbers:
2015: just a few
2016: 6169 cars
2017: 7175 cars
2018: maybe 5000?
2019: maybe 4000? There are 1000 delivered and another few thousand waiting for final inspection?

I think the 2019 cars will have completely new updated piston rings with some new engineered valve systems. It will be the fastest and most reliable cars. Just saying.

2020: Great cars on the track and street but competing with the new "hot" GT500 (Desitation Unknown--Missing Persons).

I'm not suggesting anything....my original post in regards to Shelby American simply stated they needed steering wheels to complete some builds they have currently started. I don't work for Shelby American (maybe you do with all your knowledge) ....so your info above may be absolutely correct...fantastic....but my response was in regards to them waiting on steering wheels....to complete a build.
When I said you have to purchase a mustang from a dealer.....that is true...at least that's how the process went when I spoke with them in regards to having mine done in 2014.

I ordered the Ruby Red as well. Black racing stripe, exposed carbon fiber interior and the tech package. 65.4K out the door. Did they give you an estimated delivery date?

For 2015 just 137 cars were produced and believe that I listed the 2018 total production numbers on my last post which was just 4378 cars.

I would agree with you that the 2019 production numbers may come in less than the 2018MY and will be interesting to see where this all ends up for both the GT350 and the R model.

The 2019 GT350 has some improvements for sure including the new Cup 2 tires along with stiffer springs front and back and improved Brembo braking so overall an improved car over the last couple of years with the R model unchanged for the 2019MY.

Of course these upgrades for the GT350 will come at a cost and believe these new improvements will increase the base price of a 2019 GT350 over a 2018 GT350 by ~$3,300 but in my opinion certainly worth the extra expense.

:)

On your post #756 you stated that Ford does not ship directly from FR to SA in Las Vegas when in fact they do in some cases as was the case with the 2008/2009 GT500KR cars and now with the new SIXT Rental Car program.

Then there are other post title programs such as the Shelby GT and the Super Snake programs which you referred to and of course is a whole different process.

$1500 below invoice? How is he even covering the cost to be in the program?

I believe from my memories of the Hertz program, SIXT would have to purchase the cars first. So, they are SIXT owned cars.
