Bullshit. The leather is the same and the seats are awesome in the 400a package. Both are “leather trimmed”. I’d go for the 400a to save a few bucks. Nothing in 401a is that substantial. I don’t even look at the “stitching”. Digital dash is the only reason and for me I prefer good old fashioned analog gauges which never fail.

401A Equipment Group includes all 400A content plus the following features:

• 12" LCD Digital Instrument Cluster with MyColor®
• Heated Steering Wheel
• Premier Trim with Color Accent Group – Hand Stitched Center Console Lid, Wrapped Knee Bolsters with Accent Stitch and Shifter Boot, Premium Floor mats with Accent Stitch, Color-accented Leather-trimmed Seats, "Linked
Where's the memory seating?

The heated seats are a real treat if this is a daily driver. Driving home after a rough day at work with the heat on is really nice. I have this in all my cars. Like a heat pad.

I know this is ultimately subjective to our taste/preference but when I initially began looking, I wasn't worried about a having a bunch of luxury items. I wanted a Blk Accent/Active Exh/A10 and 3.55's. I found what I was looking for but it was a 400a with safe and smart(adaptive cruise,cross-traffic, etc...), Navi, Carbon Sport trim and a few other oddballs. Initially I saw the options list on the window sticker and I was going to turn it down. But the dealer made me a really good deal on it and I bought it. As time has gone on, there isn't a single time that I drive the car that I dont appreciate/enjoy many of the things included on the 400a. My vote for you is premium. :)

Things that I want in my next vehicle; Android Auto and manual transmission. After driving cars for the last 7 years with leather seats, they are nice, but not a must have for me. The perfect EcoBoost Mustang for me would be with the 101a package (with sync 3 and drive modes), manual transmission, and the performance package.

But I did really enjoy the ventilated seats in my 2012 F150

Well I went and looked at some cars on the lot and upgraded to premium. You have to get 401a to get PP2, so I got 401a with the midnight blue interior. If I could have I would have passed on 401a but I really wanted the PP2 package.

I have an premium 18 401a
I believe the memory is now in the premium package for 19. You used to have to check the safe & smart option to get it.

Asking me? Not sure and not something I ever used even in my old Mercedes which had that feature. I think that is a 401a feature.
You'll potentially wish you had it. I know I do. It's not the memory part but the seat go back automatically when you turn the car off and open the door making the ingress & egress a more pleasant experience or does the Mustang version not do that?

I went from a 15 Premium to a base PP2 and other than the seating surface, there's very little difference when you have Recaros. The 301A mandated upgrade in the PP2 gives you the driving modes and Sync 3 ... plus I don't DD it. If you want the 401A dash, well, thats up to you.
