have not seen this addressed. For those of us with different drives modes (301a, 401a) we can choose normal, sport, track drag, weather. Numerous changes corresponding to mode, including throttle mapping. Any tuners out here know what happens with a blower and tune with the modes? Are all still operable or is something like one mode now locked in?

In reference to my Whipple with their tune and now Lund’s tune, all drive modes work as designed.

Great, so, you notice a difference when you switch from normal to sport with the throttle mapping becoming more aggressive as an example ?

Yes. They all still work. Sport/Track have different throttle mapping, shift points, etc. Track still turns off traction control. Snow/Wet is still slow.

I actually asked Lund to use the same throttle map and settings in Normal as there are in Sport mode and they said they couldn't because the torque tables are all different and custom.

Yes. Doing a mild acceleration while switching from normal to track is a noticeable difference. All modes act as they are intended.

I'm almost confused by the replies as it applies to a base Performance Pack GT. I was under the impression the "sport/track" mode was only for traction/nanny controls? How in the world does a tuner leave Hp or throttle mapping on the table for a Mode switch? It doesn't make sense to me.

I was under the impression that those modes once the car is tuned dont change anything but traction control.

I believe he is right , i asked rob over at pbd when he was dyno tunning my car and he said once tune the car will shift as drag mode , the only other difference is the throttle response is better from normal mode to the rest of the mode and the exhaust tone changes also .

The throttle mapping is simply how the pedal relates to the throttle body opening. No power is left on the table, all of the modes still map 100% pedal to 100% throttle, even wet/snow. Some vendors remap the throttle mapping in the tune, so I don't understand the comment above about being unable to change it. In my Whipple tune, "normal" was very close to "sport", so I actually remapped normal to be like the stock tune's normal. I don't think a tune can change the way the modes are mapped to traction control, but they should be able to change the throttle mapping.

Maybe tuners do things differently as far as modes are concerned. I have an 18 A10 Whippled, also with a Rob@PBD tune. Normal is pretty “normal”. It shifts smooth and may skip a gear or 2 under part throttle driving. That’s where I leave it most of the time. It definitely doesn’t shift like drag mode, even at WOT. Sport mode lets RPM climb a bit higher before shifts, uses every gear in sequence and downshifts like a stick car. Fun, but not for every day driving. Drag mode shifts much harder than any of the rest and I don’t use track mode. For those with active exhaust, sound changes with mode selection, but after selecting mode, you can put it in whatever exhaust mode you want with buttons on steering wheel.
