Been trying to figure out what exhaust to run for my car for a while now. I live in a condo/townhouse right now so I have neighbors sharing walls on both sides of me and we park right in front of the units, so I think my options are somewhat limited. I would be open for anything up to a catback system.

I really like the tone of the stock exhaust, if I could find a way to just make that louder. I think a lot of exhaust options out there change the tone completely. I met someone with an X pipe and muffler delete system and it sounded great, but it was just way too loud for where I live, especially on cold startup. I think an active system would be perfect but I don't know how involved that would be. Ideally I would run an H pipe and muffler delete, but again, it would be too loud, so I've wondered if just doing one of those would be good.

I'd like the interior to be louder as well as the exterior. I'd like to hear the car while cruising, and I'd like to turn some heads. Some brands I've come across would be Flowmaster, Magnaflow, SLP, Solo Performance, Corsa, Borla, MBRP.

So, really just looking for advice or recommendations from people that live in condos/apartments that have been through this process.

Corsa Sport, AWE Touring, Krona (a bit louder though). Those are my choices for stock header catbacks given your area.

Resonator delete and stock catback.
I have been debating doing either just H pipe or just muffler delete, just haven't been convinced by YouTube enough to make that decision.

I also should say I don't want any exhaust popping. Not sure if that's a function of the exhaust or a tune though.

Leave the mufflers alone and just do the resonator delete. Sounds like it would tick all your boxes.

Muffler delete would be the exact opposite of what you are looking for.

Any of you guys have experience with resonator delete? I've heard it didn't really affect the volume all that much.

I have an 18 with the FP X pipe and absolutely love it. It sounds so good at WOT that it has me wanting more.

It only cost me 40 to have installed at a muffler shop - certainly worth trying with low cash outlay.

Cold start is loud though and intoxicating.

Did cold start become obnoxiously loud? I feel like stock cold start is on the verge of being annoying for neighbors. But this option will probably be the quietest of all in regards to affecting cold start.

Was there noticeable change to cruising, inside and outside the vehicle?

I love the cold start but it could be obnoxious loud it really depends. I would NOT want it this loud if it was my daily and I had to start it before say 7AM every day.

No change to cruising volume. Only change is when you step on it which is awesome. With the windows down it is sweet.

Resonator delete and stock catback.
Ehhh tonal quality sucks on the 15-17 stock mufflers for the volume increase. I tried that first and it's super tinny and raspy.

I'd just as soon get a much quieter catback.

Borla Touring is probably the quietest catback. I find the Corsa Sport more than tolerable for neighborhood concerns. It was fine when I was in an apartment complex. Cold start definitely has some volume but you can quite literally putt around no louder than stock if you keep the revs and throttle low.

Your best bet, IMO, is to try an axleback first. If you want/can handle more volume, do a resonator delete. Corsa Touring, Borla S-type, FP Borla or AWE Touring would be my recommended options.

Good to know about the Corsa Sport. I’m thinking of upgrading to that catback to get more of a GT350 sound. Just on the fence as my current setup sounds soo good. Also I want to autocross here in AZ and don’t want to hit any sound limits.

It sounds icky on the 15-17 mufflers: very tinny and raspy at over 3/4 throttle. Resonator delete on the 18+ sounds much better.

It's a much more sports car V8 sound than muscle V8 sound. I absolutely love it.
