Hey S550 folks,
I bought the Tirecare plan from FORD at the purchase. I have 2 wheels that are bent & damaged on my 2016 Mustang Ecoboost PP. I took the diagnosis from a third party and submitted to ford dealer since they couldn't diagnose the wobbling from the rear at speeds more than 30mph.
I dopped the car for wheel replacement under tirecare plan. The dealer got back saying they found that the rear 2 wheels were damaged and reached out to the Tirecare insurance folks. It would cost 1200 for each wheel to replace so instead of 2400 for the 2 wheels, the insurance asked them to repair the wheel. like WTF?
So my question is..Can I say No to repairing/machining the Wheel and push for a replacement only?
If they feel 2400 for 2 wheels is way expensive, can I ask to get paid through a cheque of a fair amount and get a set by myself.
I've had a pretty rough experience trying to get this resolved already. took me 5 trips to the dealer since they kept saying everything was fine until I went to third party alignment and balancing services so I don't want to deal with the repair stuff.
Kindly suggest the best course of action in this scenario. Thanks so much !!
