I am not a fan of the honeycomb grilles. The only 2019 billet grille I have found is a bolt over from T-Rex. The price is high, but what bothers me most is that the original grille remains. Has anyone had experience with the T-Rex grilles and how they look on the Mustang? How about any billet grilles that replace the factory unit?

Good link, never knew they were available. Also in many finishes

I got a billet grille that replaced the upper and bolted over the lower. So I figured out where it bolted on to the lower and marked those spots on the honeycomb, then cut out the rest of the honeycomb with a hacksaw and Dremel. Worked great.

I appreciate the info guys, but I am only wanting billet grilles. Some interesting stuff out there. Gotta love how easy it is to mod a Mustang.

Looks great and what I would like, but they don't make them to fit 18-19 models.

I appreciate your interest. Maybe someone from AM will see this thread and do something.

There is a cheap billet grille INSERT from a company named APS or iGrille, for the 2018-2019 Mustang. Its all over Amazon and ebay. In chrome or in black.
I'm not sure of the quality, as it only costs $75, while other brands are $300-500.

With 11 slats:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07GFFZG6...olid=2XPU37X9RYJHG&psc=0&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it
With 14 slats:
https://www.amazon.com/APS-2018-2019-Mustang-Billet-S18-A80466F/dp/B07GDXNXBP/ref=sr_1_3?s=automotive&ie=UTF8&qid=1549385166&vehicle=2018-54-688-------------0&sr=1-3&ymm=2018:ford:mustang&keywords=aps+billet+grille+mustang+2018

I'm thinking on buying a chrome version, and paint most of the slats/bars black, while leaving 1-2 slats chrome (using a painters tape), to have the effect of a narrow chrome stripe while still mostly black.

I have received the $75 grille insert from Amazon. I did put it on, but didn't secure it, just put a plastic piece to hold it until i take pictures.
It fits, but it seems the cutout is too tight and off horizontally, the metal bars are too close to the pony's head. Looking at it from the left front of the car the metal bars are hiding the pony emblem's head.
So I am planning to cut the bars back by half inch in the left middle and quarter inch in the right middle. Most of the bars will be painted semi-gloss black anyway, but the 4th and 5th from the bottom I wanted to leave in chrome color. Just like in the concept (b) above. Since I have to cut those also, at the cut surface they would need some re-chroming. I don't want it to rust. I have no idea how to do that. They say it's stainless steel, but possibly low quality and might have rust spots or something later unless treated, then the rust flowing down the white body of my car will be ugly.
Note that the one with no emblem cutout would not have this problem.

Finally it's done.
I made a big rectangle opening around the pony, because the original one was sticking out too much around it.
I had to buy a chrome version and a black powder coated version, swap out 2 bars with rivets to make it bi-color, then cut the bar opening bigger in the middle with a dremel, finally add 2 vertical L-shaped metal plates.
It looks a little bit home made when direct light hits the grille, but looks cool in part shade.
