  1. ESD discharge

Every time I get out of my 2018 Mustang Ecoboost (with fabric seats), and try to close the door, when I touch the door I get zapped by ESD discharge. Other cars I had, Volkswagen, Mazda, other Ford models, I did not experience this. Is there a way to ground my seat or somehow prevent this ESD issue?
  2. Billet grilles

This cost me about $200 plus some work over one weekend. If you are okay with single color, then $110. The opening had to be enlarged as the factory opening looked stupid.
  3. Billet grilles

Finally it's done. I made a big rectangle opening around the pony, because the original one was sticking out too much around it. I had to buy a chrome version and a black powder coated version, swap out 2 bars with rivets to make it bi-color, then cut the bar opening bigger in the middle with a...
  4. Show off your AC vent phone mount

I designed my own, then my friend got it 3D printed for me out of ABS material. You can download alll the files here. http://www.buenos.extra.hu/download/phone.zip This one is a little different than a typical phone holder, because I designed it to told a phone that is in a thick leather wallet...
  5. What is under the steering wheel dash area?

I also only slide it for releasing it. For pressing it down better to do it will full leg, as it is faster and does not need accuracy.
  6. What is under the steering wheel dash area?

If you use your whole leg, then its a 3 axis motion control, that is less accurate by about x^3, compared to a 1 axis motion control when only moving my foot around my heel's axis. Clutch bite requires precision. Its harder to control it with 3 axis. Especially if the road is bumpy, the weight...
  7. What is under the steering wheel dash area?

I move it to the foot rest, by lifting it up a little bit. Otherwise I would have to slide my heel on the floor towards me. Keeping foot on clutch is probably not desirable for wear of the clutch mechanism inside. That spring just reduces clearance and demands unnecessary precision. Other brands...
  8. What is under the steering wheel dash area?

I think what happens is I keep my heel on the ground as I release the clutch, it slides along my foot, then when the clutch is up, it is under the middle of my foot. Then I take my foot off it by lifting it by 1-2 inches that causes by foot to touch the metal bar with the grease on it. This...
  9. What is under the steering wheel dash area?

Seen on the photo above, the mazda seems to have about 2-3" more space. You can also see where the mazda placed the spring on it. There is no reason to box our foot in with 1" clearance. Actually I kick the greasy sharp metal part once or twice in a half hour trip, so it is not every time I...
  10. California Basic 17x7.5 wheels with Hankook 235/55R17 tires for sale

Basic 17x7.5 wheels with Hankook 235/55R17 tires that came off my new Mustang Ecoboost 2018. According to odometer, they had 300 miles in them at time of taking them off. Soon after buying my car new from dealership the wheels were replaced to some bigger AM wheels. TPMS sensors are not offered...
  11. What is under the steering wheel dash area?

I depress it with the ball of my foot also, but like to release it sliding with my heel on the floor. this worked well before in several different cars. Also I sit closer to the front than most American drivers, my foot has more torque on the clutch by having my knee more bent. When I slide the...
  12. What is under the steering wheel dash area?

My left foot is size 10. My right foot is... also size 10. Sometimes when I release the clutch, I slide it, so my toes end up in the area of that sharp greasy metal part and touch it. My nice (left) shoe have lots of small scratches on it because of this. That is why I made the foam cover last...
  13. What is under the steering wheel dash area?

On my old mazda, there wasn't any sticking out metal spring holder on the clutch pedal arm, especially not one with open grease on it. Also several sticking out screws and very sharp edges in the area. This part of the Mustang was a sloppy design job. I have to add soft foam insulation to...
  14. What is under the steering wheel dash area?

It is the spring that is attached to the clutch, and the edges of the bottom plastic panel, I think. And there is a vertical metal plate next to the spring with sharp edge also. Why is the bottom of the spring full of white grease?
  15. What is under the steering wheel dash area?

What is under the steering wheel dash area? I have a 2018 Mustang Ecoboost stick shift. Whenever I lift my foot off the clutch and lift my foot a little too high, my foot touches something, scratches my shoe, and some white grease is stuck on the tip of my left shoe. Is this normal? What do do...
  16. Aftermarket window chrome trim

My mustang is also white. I was told by friends that I shouldn't put chrome on it. There are plenty of white cars with chrome window trim, just like my old mazda6, and I think it looks more upper class. Here is an example photo off the internet...

Thanks. that sounds good. You cannot overthink safety. Plan first, then execute. I am a design engineer for electronics.
  18. Billet grilles

I have received the $75 grille insert from Amazon. I did put it on, but didn't secure it, just put a plastic piece to hold it until i take pictures. It fits, but it seems the cutout is too tight and off horizontally, the metal bars are too close to the pony's head. Looking at it from the left...
  19. Aftermarket window chrome trim

I know it looks really nice, I was considering it too. I might still use it, if there is a proof for its strength and reliability. I would not get the $2500 one, so the Chinese one if it is guaranteed safe, or nothing. I'm an engineer. We dont use glue for any structural things, only mechanical...
