Hi, I have owned my 2015 Ecoboost from new. Recently have not used it a great deal ( I also have a 2001 Corvette C5 that I have owned for nearly 14 years). But when I came to start it up a couple of days ago......it would not start......will not even turn the engine over. I initially suspected the battery to be the fault......so charged it up....but still same fault. Convinced it was a battery issue I went out and bought a brand new one......exactly the same.
Being an auto....you have to press the foot brake before pressing the start button......but even after doing this it will not even turn the engine over......nothing......but still shows the 'press brake to start' message.
This leads me to think that this might be the problem......although when pressing the brake.....the brake lights come on......I am wondering if for some reason the 'engine' is not receiving a signal that the foot brake is depressed......hense not starting.
Any thoughts?
Really would appreciate any thoughts or suggestions you might have. Thanks.
