My car has been sitting in the garage for a most of the winter. I start it every few weeks to keep the battery charged. I went to start it yesterday and it did nothing. I checked the voltage on the battery and it was good. I put a new battery in anyway just to see and there was no change. I reflashed my tune and still no change.
I can hit the start button and it will turn on the accessories but the brake pedal is locked and wont let me push it in. When I try to start the engine it just turns the accessories off. It has popped up with a P061a code that I cleared.
It has said no key recognized but the key fobs still lock and unlock the doors. I tried putting the key in the cup holder slot and no change.
It does not even try to turn over or anything, as if it thinks there is no key. Anybody have any ideas on what to do? I cannot even put it in neutral because the brake pedal will not move at all.
