Airaid CAI. is it worth it without a tune?

I am looking at an Airaid CAI as see below.... and I am wondering if I would see any difference after installing without a tune. Or should I just spend my money elsewhere. And just to set the record straight, I have NO interest in a tune.

I would certainly get a tune with it. It's a waste without it if you just want to pay money for intake noise. Otherwise, it's a fantastic intake, keeps temps low, looks great, and drives great.

Spend your money on suspension or a drop in filter in your case.

Already did the suspension thing. Just bought ANOTHER exhaust. So maybe another filter dropped in is the way to go.

The thing is the stock cai really isn’t that terrible, vs a ”non-tune” one... at least for hundreds of dollars more. Most the gains people see when they do cai + tune is just from the tune. I agree a drop in filter and call it a day is probably the best bet.

I switched my factory air cleaner housing for the same housing ordered from Levittown Ford through Benny. These parts do not have the carbon trap the original housing has glued into the top of it. Rather it comes as a separate part.

I have not really noticed a significant increase in power, but more sound does come through the sound tube as the airflow is less restricted. Not a bad option for $25.

Aftermarket intakes provide no tangible benefit over stock without a tune. Hang on to your money.
