Whipple pp1 or 355 question

Im back and cant wait. I ordered a 19 on Saturday. Cant wait to get her. I might change my name to whippled 19 haha

I had a procharger on my 15 never really got what I was looking for as far as power delivery. Definitely going whipple this time. Anyone have the pp1 or 355 auto on here with a stage 2 any regrets or suggestions...

I have a whipple Stage 2 2018 pp1 3.55 a10.

I got the pp1 because I thought the regular gt with 235/50 tires would just be silly with that kind of power. Well, I learned that the 275/40 pilot sports are just silly as well. In hot weather it might have hooked in 3rd every now and then. Now that it’s cooled down to the 70’s, it usually won’t hook in 4th. If you have any plans of putting this power to the ground, plan on a tire upgrade as well.

Other comments:

- The early cals weren’t great but the latest one from whipple is really good.
- Plan on logging some data and monitoring your KR. I’m learning a lot from that.
- I believe the kit comes with a 3.875 pulley. On 93, in cooler weather especially, I believe the 3.75 will make more power. 3.625 requires more octane to use. Whipple recommends Boostane.
- Order a 160 thermostat and change it out when you drain the coolant down.

Thanks, yeah I'm gonna do everything at once most likely..I'm doing stage 2, kooks LTH green cats, H pipe, return fuel system, PBD or Lund tune, suspension, 20in wheels, g force half shafts, 555r's on the back...no e85 not really around here so I run boostane I like it.. ran it in my Twin turbo 17 f150 5.0....

When I spoke to Whipple about the thermostat and going to 160 deg their response was, "the cal was based on the OEM tstat" and recommended against changing it. Did you get a different message or just changed it out?
