I hear you. I’ve just never seen it race. There’s a bunch of us mustang guys down there all waiting to see it make a pass. You know, being an 18 with 10 speed and all. Lol. I just thought the car was owned by the track and not borrowed from local dealership. Here’s a pic with graphics still on. And, once again I’m only kicking around the idea of getting it. I’m thinking AT LEAST 10k off.

I wouldn't buy it for more than 36k with all warranty in tacked. Better check the tire wear bet there close to worn out.

A little more info:
The car was used by our local racetrack, WIR as the pace car for the circle track racing season. So, the miles came from start of races, national anthem, caution laps and such. The track does have a 1/4mi. Dragstrip, but anytime I’ve been there the car was just parked.
I didn’t realize this was the same car I’ve been seeing all summer. The dealer pulled off all the vinyl graphics. The warranty has not started yet.
The fact remains that you're asking if you should buy a used car for close to a new car price. Regardless of what the dealer is telling you, that is a used car and it should be priced appropriately. Personally I'd steer far clear of that car, but if I were to guess at value I'd land somewhere in the 35k range. Plus I'd also not trust that dealer for anything since they're trying to sell you used for new.

Remember, for this car you are doing them a favor by buying it. It is a used car. You don't know how heavily the car was driven for 3k miles. We are coming up on winter. They don't want it sitting on their lot. They have to turn over their inventory as quickly as possible. You're in the drivers seat for this sale. So don't overpay for that used car. You are in a dominant position for this sale and you need to use that to your advantage and not let the dealer push you in to overpaying for that car.

I for sure wouldn't want it knowing it was a pace car. If for no other reason than the paint damage from installing and removing the vinyls but I am kind of picky about black paint, especially on a new car.

this isnt just a USED car its an ABUSED car. $33K because warranty is intact. Lower if there are dings, scratches, etc.

It should be considered a used car. As far as abuse, well I dont think it was used any harder then the avg Mustang GT user would have used it. Because it was used as a marketing car it would have been well cared for and kept cleaner then most personal cars. AS far as the removal of the graphics, wish they would have left them on. makes it very unique. Dont pay any more the Kelly Blue for it as a used car. You can request a Extended warranty and not settle for less then a 5 year 100,000 one at no cost to you
