Local ford dealer is selling a new 18 GT PP A10, 401, digital dash, 3.55 rear.
It was used as a demo car and has 2,800 miles. Has not been titled and warranty will start when purchased. Msrp is $49,8xx.

What’s a fair price? Thinking I can pick up for $41k ish.

All PP A10 come with 3.55. This is a GT premium? Personally, I don't think it is. Used GT and $40K + doesn't sound right.....even though it's not used. Unless all those options are important to you. Can get a new base A10 PP near me for around $35K with discounts.

If you go ahead and the mileage part of the warranty matters to you, you might want to confirm that. Customers wouldn't tolerate the month count starting when the dealer gets the car but I think Ford may count those 2,800 miles against the 36,000/50,000, meaning you would get 33.2k (more) miles or 36 months.

That a USED car. Hard run 'Demo' probably went 'Home' a few times. i would apply all the factory discounts, subtract an additional 10k and insist on a extended warranty.

The warranty starts when the car goes into service. Demo is service.

This. There's NO way I would pay anywhere near fair market used price for a demo car. That thing has been BEAT in those 2800 miles.

Just as a point of reference, I bought my 18 used, mine stickered for 47,765 and it had 1,172 miles. I went out the door for $33,998 that was back in May

I agree with the other guys, this time of the year you should get atleast $10k off the MSRP, especially on new premium car. I’d think $36-37k.

For a 2018 I feel like $8-10k off is fair. I just bought a 2019 with a sticker of $52k for $42,500 with 1100 miles.

If you go back, check the acceleration meter in the Track Apps section. Likely has not been reset. Should be able to see if it's been "Rode Hard/Put Away Wet".
I'd be really leery of a "demo" GT with 2800 miles.

Good Luck

FWIW...my sons car is similar but had an MSPR of 52,510. I bought it for 43,810

That is 8700 off, and exactly your discount if you can buy at 41,000.

But his had 3 miles.

A little more info:
The car was used by our local racetrack, WIR as the pace car for the circle track racing season. So, the miles came from start of races, national anthem, caution laps and such. The track does have a 1/4mi. Dragstrip, but anytime I’ve been there the car was just parked.
I didn’t realize this was the same car I’ve been seeing all summer. The dealer pulled off all the vinyl graphics. The warranty has not started yet.

When the org I've helped run rents our local track for a weekend, the pace cars with track employees usually come out to play. Just saying.

I'd consider maybe $37k with the extended warranty.
