Honestly, these spy shots and videos are getting boring. Same body style we have had for several years and there are Hellcats running 800 HP already. This car has lost it's edge already.

Not liking the concavity of the fronts and flush spokes on the rear. Hopefully that is just to funk up the exterior like the wrap.

Don't read too much into the spoiler. There will likely be a tame and an over the top version available. What you see here is probably something that fit - that is all.
Agreed. A spoiler is hardly a huge part of the overall picture.

No. Not until the unveiling.
Car has been in the "spy photo" phase a year now. They dropped some shitty cgi video using a 2002 need for speed simulator and back to spy shots for another 5 months. Ford's marketing for this car has been flat out laughably bad

Nice to see the VIR sticker. But Nurburgring, where are you? Should have been there a month ago.
I understand that it may just be a spoiler from the parts bin. That is a given and manufacturers do it a lot with prototypes and mules. It is obvious that the final spoiler will be different. But the main point of posting this thread was to confirm that more than one version of the GT500 is being looked at. Not everyone is going to want a track oriented version of a car to drive on the street. For most, a big wing on the back (and if this car is a lot like the GT350R if it is offered with a radio and a rear seat delete) would not be practical. Keep in mind with the GT350 too, a lot of Ford's sales with that is with the standard GT350 for the more options offered. If someone wants a more limited number hardcore track car, they will look for one.

As for the VIR sticker, I am hoping for more videos on that too. I really want to hear this car opened up on a track. I agree, it has been too long.

In listening to comments here, there is a good many of you who think there is going to only be 1 version of the GT500... ?

I am certain, Ford Performance is testing all variants of the GT500. Hence the many different cars/configs we often see. And logically, following the GT350 and the "R" version's rear "wing", I am sure each will serve it's function/importance. Just as the changes with the GT350 (base) and the "R" does.

Aero is important and Ford is paying attention.
Exactly what I was talking about above. Everyone thinks there will be just one version, and I was confident before this that Ford would not do that. To some, having one specific version could be too much.

I like to disassemble things.
Not sure why you said that "everyone thinks there will be just one version." We've been talking about this for months now, the fact that there will be different ways to configure the car.

It's been so long it feels they not only have a few variants but a whole range of GT500-based products, including GT500 truck, hatchback, SUV, and perhaps even a motorcycle.

2020 GT500 the most extensively tested car in history. Honestly there really needs to be some amazing features to justify a delay like this... FFS Chevy is going to completely redesign the architecture of the Corvette and get it to market faster.

I was excited for the GT500 2 years ago. Fords waited so long I've nearly lost interest. From the spy shots of the Corvette... WOW!

Yes true. Can anyone confirm my suspicions?

I’m pretty sure the core team working on the 500 has been reduced to where they fit in a restaurant booth now. The corvette team is probably 20-30 large. Our team can be counted one one hand

Funding and talent to the 500 has run dry. BMac can you confirm this somewhat?
