Someone posted this on Facebook today. Screenshot taken from their video. Looks like a GT500 prototype with a different spoiler. Could we be looking at a GT500R/GT500KR model with the big wing and a GT500 track pack with this one?

Good find. Wish the audio was clearer but its definitely seems like more than one version of the gt500.

Looks like the track pack spoiler from the GT350. Also, they need to put the drivers side muffler back in place.

Same as the first prototypes but the later test mules at the 'Ring at Forgeline GA3R's. Not sure what these wheels are.

As yes that's right. I wonder who bought those first mule wheels when they were put up on eBay

Interesting that they ditched this spoiler on the '19 350 for the "improved" version, yet they are testing the 500 with it. I've also noticed that all of the Nurbugring testing shots of the 350 were with this spoiler. Perhaps it has more aerdoynamic function than has been led on...

It doesn't take much spoiler to have a very profound impact on aerodynamics. Spoilers are inherently NOT used for downforce only but for overall slipstream profile, downforce, and coefficient of drag efficiency. Engineers know this. Where as wings...REAL wings, have one purpose: pound that ass into the ground. Yes, that was an innuendo.

    Great read right here

Don't read too much into the spoiler. There will likely be a tame and an over the top version available. What you see here is probably something that fit - that is all.

Nice to see the VIR sticker. But Nurburgring, where are you? Should have been there a month ago.

There will probably be a base model GT500 and a track focused one with the big wing (Like the ZL1 and ZL1LE). Im more interested in the base model TBH

This is a relief. That style of spoiler looks really nice, and I was afraid we'd be stuck with a huge, ugly fixed wing. Cant wait to see this GT500, but Ford seems to be dragging their feet.

News is always welcomed and I feel like an elephant pregnancy is a shorter process than the birth of this car. Then new ME Vette had pics today as well. Still a Ford guy but Come on with it! Redeye and ME Vette are making me look around like a cheating husband.

In listening to comments here, there is a good many of you who think there is going to only be 1 version of the GT500... ?

I am certain, Ford Performance is testing all variants of the GT500. Hence the many different cars/configs we often see. And logically, following the GT350 and the "R" version's rear "wing", I am sure each will serve it's function/importance. Just as the changes with the GT350 (base) and the "R" does.

Aero is important and Ford is paying attention.
